I don't think he's a terrible mod, I just think we could uses a fresher pair of eyes and a less salty heart. Discuss.

at 10:11 PM, Friday January 22, 2016 EST huh? I never said I was tapped into jurgen's emotional state. I just said he wasn't removed as a mod for emotional reasons... both times I also said "from what I recall" and "imo" (in my opinion).
Nothing of what I said claims to know what someone's emotional state was, I was merely stating that there are strong reasons for why he was removed as a moderator, none of which had anything to do with emotions. |

at 7:53 PM, Saturday January 23, 2016 EST I think the overall undertone of this conversation is not a bad idea. But this whole thing started off on the wrong foot.
As far back in khistory as I can remember, any time there has been one dominant voice as moderator...unfair things have gone unchecked. It was my understanding that that was a large part of the reason why Ryan started having more than 1 mod back in like 2009. Over time, most the mods fizzled out or were demoted for being idiots. For the past few years, Jurgen has been the dominant voice. And now even more so. Pursey is a wuss...honestly who even takes you seriously. And Int has a cheating record that is 5 times as long as mine. So if it comes down to Int's word versus Jurgen's word, Ryan is going to go with Jurgen. Not to mention my earlier comment. Jurgen is ridiculously good at kissing up to Ryan to get his way...which has lead to a lot of the improvements we have now so is not all bad. Bottom line is that I don't think Jurgen is a bad mod. I just think that there is an uneuqal balance of power which plays out as Jurgen's way or the highway. And honestly, I know I can get away with more shit because Jurgen likes me and he pretty much lays the law so that makes the game less fun for me. But then Inty brings up a good point. Who do you put as a mod that is smart, honest, and not afraid to but heads with Jurgen? Well I don't see any of the new timers that fit the description and none of the old timers who could even qualify to be a mod are still around. So that in itself is a whole new problem. One that I am not invested in. So good luck yall. |

You did have some 'tude when you were first modded. I think after a few months you reined it in. Gaunt just loves his one liners! |

at 4:21 AM, Monday January 25, 2016 EST Int, I just mean that you don't know if Jurgens emotional state had a say in his reasoning about why Eric was removed and/or the -post. But I can venture a guess based on previous incidents and personal experience.
I haven't myself experienced it on kdice, since i'm a paying member and basically granted diplomatic immunity. But in the case Jurgen just brought up about when he kicked me out of the Clash of Clans clan, because "alot of people couldn't stand my self righteous attitude". The only thing I did was repeatedlty criticize his way of interacting with other people (talking down to people from a position of power, just like he is doing constantly here on the forums), he gets emotional and kicks me out. Then after the fact points to reasons who are unprovable/not true. This is a personal trait, let's call it "butthurt vengeance". I'm still waiting for the numerous people who "hated my guts because of my self righteous attitude". My guess is these are just his characteristic of me after I started telling him he was acting out of line, and he attributes them to "others". Just like he didn't really come up with any counters to Eric's quite serious claims in this thread either (which he says he also had brought up while being a mod, and was at least part of the reason he was demodded), he just silenced him and proceeded to ridicule him afterwards. That leads me to believe that's not an isolated incident, but we'll never know of course. |
