What's the excuse for Qazi et al?

Seriously though. The mods go out and ban DLK for "pga" when he played every game clean and was simply a dick to a few people while qazi and his funnel crew go at it again for the umpteenth time.
What gives mods? Did ryan specifically tell you to give these guys the edge because they are the only ones giving him money these days? Sure seems like it. Hate to have to be making a post like this but after seeing qazi getting funneled by lulz123 and then instead of them being banned they go and complain to the mods about some guy who is simply a better player than they are, I have no choice but to go to the masses! |

at 9:46 PM, Sunday May 31, 2015 EDT Don't threaten staff. I was leaving this for review by Jurgen and Ryan but following the 5k tirade just then I've -post -chat'ed you pending Jurgen's review of what he wants to do - which is entirely up to him.
He's been dealing with this primarily so it'll stay that way, but I'm not going to be threatened in chat with legal action. You're a guest here and you need to follow the directions and requests of the owner and advisors. Anything that threatens the viability of the site, no matter how seriously the threat is actually taken, isn't acceptable. |

at 2:32 AM, Monday June 1, 2015 EDT That reaction just solidifies you being Yodel tho. Why would you become so defensive for him outing you if you werent? If someone on here said I was Thrillho, I sure as hell wouldn't threathen to sue them, i'd just laugh.
FYI: An ip is a public thing, you can't sue someone for releasing your ip. You give it out to everyone you connect to/every website you connect to on the internet. Especially if what you say is true, that you share it with many others (proxy), then that ip doesn't even reveal who you are to your own internet provider. |

at 9:28 AM, Monday June 1, 2015 EDT 1. I said that I could prove you were Yodel but for that I needed to post the evidence, including your IP. I literally said that I needed your OK for that first so I would never post that without permission, not even for a toxic troll
2. I've told you a bunch of times that I am on satellite so my IP is shared by many people. --> your IP was never shared with anyone else but your alts, and this includes your yodel alts 3. Also my IP changes constantly due to the location of the satellite I'm connected to. --> your STJ IP has been very stable for months. I even suspect you use a proxy but I'm not going to accuse you of that because I'm not sure enough (just a hunch). 4. I'm not going to go into your next attempts at false accusations or your rants yesterday evening. I've left you the freedom of speech for as long as I could but you keep crossing the line (also by insulting people on this forum who do nothing but politely criticise what you write). 5. You need a month to cool off on chat, play and post. Then I will talk with Pursey and we can decide together about how things will go from there. It will depend on your behaviour in June. So please think twice about making alts trying to undo the ban(s). It never worked for yodel and it will only make it worse for you so keep your dignity (and your small chance of being allowed back) please. |

at 2:00 AM, Tuesday June 2, 2015 EDT I think a quick solution to this problem would be since Mod's have the power, make a forum post and update it with who ALT's are based off IP tracking.
This way no more arguments can be made, and it should also help curve cheating. Wouldn't have to list IP addresses, just person main acct with a list of their ALT's so people can always click the post and find out who is who. |

at 2:57 AM, Tuesday June 2, 2015 EDT We don't like to reveal that information as a general rule. People are welcome to their unless they're circumventing the rules, playing on 2 accounts at once, evading bans, or generally causing problems.
Notice I don't say it's a 'right' though - if you abuse your privilege we may choose to blow your cover. IP addresses and your ghost/clone history isn't protected by any magical laws like STJ thinks. |

at 4:01 AM, Tuesday June 2, 2015 EDT Thank you Pursey for taking the right steps here. Nothing wrong with some insults, some harsh comments and some weird accusations - at some point however it gets too much.
And yes, I was thinking of an alt-list to know whom I'm meeting for a long time. While dc-tools been working I was building my own list through the comments (no more on firefox). However, I think you are right not to publish it since alts are a fine thing to play as somewone else as long as none of the few rules we got are broken. @api: In some countries (e.g. Germany iirc) it is not allowed to log the IPs of clients connecting to your webserver. Ofc it has to be provided to answer the request, but you mustn't log it... I'm not going to discuss the sense of that or how it can be enforced, still such rules exist. Just an information, an IP isn't that public any more after the contact is over. |

at 7:38 AM, Tuesday June 2, 2015 EDT When all is said and done tho, kinda a dick move to blow the guy's cover and ban him for basically reacting to the coverblowing. People were harassing him like hell on the Yodel account, now it's all coming back to haunt him after he finally got that shit behind him.
And you're prob right Louis, but if some countries have that law its a strange law. It's not like anyone but the internet provider knows how to pinpoint the exact customer originating from that ip anyways. But sure, you can still pingbomb that bitch. :) |

at 9:48 AM, Tuesday June 2, 2015 EDT Piggy your point would be valid if someone's alt got exposed who was quietly minding its own business. Yes you could probably expect him to stay stubborn after threatening to expose him but is it my fault that he doesn't know how to cut his losses? I feel like I gave him enough time and enough possibilities to let him get out of the situation without having to lose face. He chose to keep up what he did.
My policy is to not reveal alts unless a person does it himself. Or when really causing trouble so the alt reveal is part of the punishment. Please note that most people who have done something wrong on their secret alt only got a ban on their alt. So when an offence isn't recurring over and over, even then do I respect the privacy of a trouble maker. I've found out that stj = tby well over a year ago. He's been a douche all that time and I've been patient with his rants, offensive language and false accusations all that time. Don't you think I've respected his secret new identity more than long enough? If you act like Yodel, in the end you get treated and banned like Yodel. |

at 12:08 PM, Tuesday June 2, 2015 EDT I completely understand wanting to protect players ALT accounts, especially if they play the game normally and don't cause trouble.
However, by doing this it opens the possibility of people abusing it. Also, the current system apparently is set up to the point your identity is safe even if you break the rules, unless you start going overboard like STJ. Where do we draw that line? Do we protect the identity of someone who creates an ALT acct to simply ruin others games? Should we protect the identity of someone who cheats/gets banned on their ALT? I just find it amusing when you see a low level, you know is an ALT, and they simply play to ruin the game, not to actually try to win. Is this against the rules? No. Is it annoying and could cause people that ARE new players to never log back in? Yes. There is a delicate line in all business between your loyal customers and future/new customers. Kdice has a line that favors existing well known players very heavily and gives them a lot of benefit of the doubt. This could potentially damage the site from growing as a whole. There needs to be more transparency throughout, this would include some type of consequences if your under an ALT and decide to just be a problem. |
