What is the excuse for federer?

Here is my theory. Mods are willing to self righteously ban TALKING players because they get a sense of power from doing so. Yet Federer who is a destructive force gets ignored because there is no one on the other end to feel superior to.
Am I wrong? (I'm not of course -- I have a 250 IQ). |

at 3:41 AM, Monday May 11, 2015 EDT Federer is a difficult topic imho.
On the one hand you can argue and are completely right to says, that he is giving points to the table every time he sits. He increases the likeliness for all others to get to positive results. He removes the chance to get last for all others. This should be a positive impact to the community and help people to get positive feelings over all. It is fun to sit with Federer - you won't be last. On the other hand, he is likely to wreck a start for those he attacks, because he attacks with any stack regardless of success probability. Sometimes even 2v5 wins and thus ruins a previously nice position. This certainly pisses off people when he flags out next and obviously wasn't aiming at a win anyways. While getting pissed at dumb, shitty or clueless moves that succeed is something well known for experienced players and those won't be angry for too long losing a good start on a 0 table (remember, Federer has 0 points all month, he won't fuck your 2k guaranteed win start), the situation might be different for new or less experienced (read "addicted") players. Getting a few games ruined like that (yes, it can happen a few times in a row, been there, done that, got pissed) might result in turning the back to the game - that's desaster for a site like this. So, to prevent this, my request to Federer would be, to use the highest available levels for his attacks at any time. Those are most likely to not draw consequences besides maybe not sitting with him. I know I'm making myself a target for him - I'll be able to cope one way or the other. Other than that, his actions do not violate any rules. So there is no reason for mods to get active. |

at 6:32 AM, Tuesday May 12, 2015 EDT You want to ban based on which of the only given rules of this game? Di you find any pornorgraphy, harrassement or hate language in that style of gaming? I don't see game to game favors or use of multiple accounts at the same time either.
So - obviously no ban. |

at 12:05 PM, Tuesday May 12, 2015 EDT he's definitely not a bot, I've seen him make mistakes, play an occasional game, and even sign up for a tourney, of course, he was out round 2..
I think he's harmless.. odd, but harmless. If you don't like the "FBOMB" as I like to call his signature move, don't sit at a table with him! (or do what I do if I evaluate that he's a danger to my start, or if I think its funny -- flag him before he attacks!! ) I think of him as comic relief, a break from the monotony, at worst he's annoying, at best, some sort of autistic idiot savant! Who knows who he is or why he gets his joy from playing the way he plays? Let him be :) |

at 12:08 PM, Tuesday May 12, 2015 EDT I don't think its trolling.. trolling implies that he gets his joy from the angst he inspires in others.. if that were his desire he'd probably communicate / taunt.
Either he's for whatever reason grinding for "Most Aggressive", or its the old DiceWars AI attempting to gain sentience and enact revenge on kdice for being more fun. |
