Exactly 2 years ago, April 6th 2013, Marsyas passed away. I don't have all the details about his death but that is not so important. The important thing is that Sherief - or Marsays as we all knew him on Kdice - died much too soon.
Marsy was not only a great player, he was also a warm and genuinely friendly person. He also had a great game attitude: points were not really important to him as he cared more about a good fight than to weakflag or to play safe. He played with honour and was a great ambassador for this game. Again, it's sad and unfair that you're not around anymore Marsy. I will miss you forever my dear friend. |

There's a very small chance that we are mourning over a person that is not Marsyas because not that many people were on his facebook (and most stuff on there is written in Egyptian Arabic - that's why we didn't notice until 2 years later). If I made a mistake, I'm very sorry. I did everything I could to make sure that I wouldn't post something that wasn't true. |

That guy was awesome and he's the example I've used when explaining to my friends why playing kdice is more than just a game. It allows you to learn about other cultures around the world. It's because of Mars that the Egyptian conflict felt real all the way over in the US. Very sad.

I had some great chats and connections with him. We had a UPGA (unconscious pre game alliance) thing going on at times. Though for me it was just pure PGA. His innocence in not knowing he was PGA'd to me was sweet and astounding. I think he may have had a good heart. Sad :( |
