Exactly 2 years ago, April 6th 2013, Marsyas passed away. I don't have all the details about his death but that is not so important. The important thing is that Sherief - or Marsays as we all knew him on Kdice - died much too soon.
Marsy was not only a great player, he was also a warm and genuinely friendly person. He also had a great game attitude: points were not really important to him as he cared more about a good fight than to weakflag or to play safe. He played with honour and was a great ambassador for this game. Again, it's sad and unfair that you're not around anymore Marsy. I will miss you forever my dear friend. |

So I asked a close RL friend of him who seemed very fluid in English if he could confirm that Mars had passed away. I didn't want to ask for any details as I felt that I was already intruding a bit too far in Marsys personal life. But the guy was very understanding and thanked us all for remembering Mars. I just noticed that I made a typing error in Marsyas' real name in my first post: it's Shereif. Sorry about that. |

I remember I was talking with Cambria about him when Cambria decided to ask via forum post if anyone would know anything about him.... none had heard from him..... coz he has already been gone, as we know now.... I still have no words... I will keep him in my mind and heart T_T

Knowing that Egyptians take nothing seriously, I found him to be the complete opposite. We exchanged talks about our lives and he told me about how he's searching for a job that suits his level and desires. We mourned about the death of our country's people as we met around the time of the January 2011 revolution in Egypt. I didn't get the chance to meet his bright/funny side but instead we used to inform and alert each other about places that are risky of going and exchange statistics about the death of people around the country. Rest in peace Shereif, I hope he's in a better place inshallah. Maybe we all knew him through an internet game, but a prayer for Shereif won't harm anyone guys.
