Community input: let's reflect on the new moderators

We all know that Jurgen carried the can on his own for far too long so I think the decision to add two new active moderators was a good one.
We are now 1 month down the track so it's probably a good chance for some community reflection. Clearly there have been some negative posts but I'm sure there are positives too. How do you think they are travelling? What have they done well? What areas do you think need improvement? Let's bear in mind that the function of the moderators is to make the site a better place for everyone. This isn't a thread designed to just bash the new moderators either so please provide constructive feedback only. |

After some intense discussion for starters I did not recognise too much change in the normal gameplay. Response time on inappropriate accounts might be a bit shorter, activity of trolls might have increased a bit - no major differences. That said and repeating the statement that I do approve the way things have been handled by Jurgen I think the enlarged team is doing a good job. I hope the increased number does include a reduced workload for each of them. Keep on going! |

That doesn't mean everything will be change because a few people ask for something but hey, if something can be improved that benefits the site and/or helps increase the enjoyment of the majority of the players, we should work together on this. We sometimes do have to take into account that only a very select and vocal group of players actually read and use this forum (so it's not always a reflection of what the majority would want) but still, it's always good to get feedback (especially if it's done in a constructive way) |

at 2:18 AM, Thursday October 9, 2014 EDT I can add that after starting/learning kdice in April, I would tend to take long breaks from the site because of the constant negativity/trolling/bullying that goes on. I enjoy good gameplay, but also good/friendly players. I have found the experience of kdice to much better since coming back in September more frequently.
