Do I have to buy a new computer only to play KDice or would you be so kind to help?

Only KDice is lagging like hell for me, everything else (browser games, videos etc.) works. I could only play and chat here if I refreshed the page after everything I post in chat + at the beginning of each turn.

This happens no matter what account I use, but logging in from another PC all's fine.
As far as I can tell it started with some big update you did a few months back. I tried deleting cookies and stuff and attempting it on different browsers with no results and the same problems.

Yours truly,
Slin

Re: "You need a new laptop. It is incompatible with the new HTLM5 ryan is putting in."

IMHO the main site (kdice) is still based on Flash, so whatever is causing her problems, it's not HTML5 incompatibility.

I'm quite sure that this is the case, cause whenever I try watching the game on my smartphone (android/Chrome), I get a big grey box that the plugin used by this game is not supported. I do not get the warning on gpokr or xsketch - since they already use html5 or the canvas version of this game ( http://kdice.com/?canvas=1 ) which is the public test page for the html5 version of kdice.

That being said I agree that it's likely that her laptop/PC is causing the lags. It's hard to make an accurate diagnosis in the absence of any details but malware/viruses might explain the behaviour. And yeah, if she uses an outdated OS (like Windows XP) it makes her PC more vulnerable to those.

You can try HTML5 by going here:
http://kdice.com/?canvas=1

Another thing to try is to bypass the load balancer by going here:
http://kdice.com:8080

Also, it appeared there was an issue with some internet service providers and these games. Which are you using?

@BDK
I use Windows 7 fully updated.
I tried new versions of different browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox, Safari) and they all failed me.
I have version 8.0 Update 11 of Java Runtime Environment

@flagsrweak
I have no problem watching games, but when I try to actually chat or play it just lags out. It's the same for GPokr and XSketch.
My Avira Antivir isn't aware of any malware/virus.

@Ryan
None of these work.
My internet provider should be Arcor.

Disable your current virus protector and download malwarebytes software (free) and Microsoft Security Essentials (free). Run both programs and try again, should fix your problem.

Uninstall avira, i'd bet that fixes your problem. You can always reinstall it if it doesn't work.

Thanks for the tip, Gdott, but uninstalling Avira didn't help. :(
