I am honestly surprised this still exists

I mean, it is the EXACT same game as it was 8ish years ago. I mean, there are more options to give Ryan money, but more or less it is the exact same game.
I figure this would have died by now, but apparently there is enough money flowing through it to keep the servers running. Is anyone I know still here? |

*4 stack games were fun but I'd limit them to 0 tables *no chat tables *no flag tables (option to flag removed) *no flag and no truce tables (can't really enforce that manu military but why not mention it at top of some tables and hope most people respect it) *fog of war tables *trainer table (a specific 0 table where newbies could play and ask for help, hopefully some more experience players would go there now and then to help coach/teach the fresh blood) *custom maps (map editor, invite only tables, option to customise #players, #starting dice, payout structure, PS: custom maps limited to 500 points or even no points involved) *1v1 tournaments *tournaments where you can buy in again if you are kicked out in the first 4 rounds *game replays *1v1 games but as a seperate competition *team games but as a seperate competition *achievement badges for say 10 8v8 wins in a row, 46+ rolls, 12 medals in a row, etc *ties go to the attacker instead of defender *a poll page where the best 5-10 bigger and smaller improvements could be listed and people could vote for them |

at 9:17 AM, Sunday June 1, 2014 EDT I'll leave my comments in this thread:
My comments: 1) higher kill bonus for 2k and 5k Yes! for sure. 2) different types of games *4 stack games were fun but I'd limit them to 0 tables *no chat tables *no flag tables (option to flag removed) *no flag and no truce tables (can't really enforce that manu military but why not mention it at top of some tables and hope most people respect it) *fog of war tables *trainer table (a specific 0 table where newbies could play and ask for help, hopefully some more experience players would go there now and then to help coach/teach the fresh blood) All of these are good ideas. What we need to figure out here is how to present this in the UI. To have many options for tables may be confusing so there should be a elegant way to present this without it being a confusing mess of different kinds of games. 3) Other game types and competitions *1v1 games but as a seperate competition *team games but as a seperate competition *custom maps (map editor, invite only tables, option to customise #players, #starting dice, payout structure, PS: custom maps limited to 500 points or even no points involved) I like these. I've been thinking about a system where people can build up their inventory of maps/tables etc. with something that wouldn't make every option accessible right away for every player. A mechanic similar to building games but what you would be building is your own slice of kdice. Thoughts? 4) 1v1 tournaments Okay. Not sure how this would work. Where would you register? I suppose its like Sit and Go but for Kdice? This may actually be done fairly quickly. 5) tournaments where you can buy in again if you are kicked out in the first 4 rounds Sounds reasonable. 6) game replays Love this one. Lots of work but probably worth it. 7) achievement badges for say 10 8v8 wins in a row, 46+ rolls, 12 medals in a row, etc Sounds reasonable. 8) ties go to the attacker instead of defender Why? 9) a poll page where the best 5-10 bigger and smaller improvements could be listed and people could vote for them Should i retire the ideas page? |

at 10:16 PM, Sunday June 1, 2014 EDT I like how Ryan is thinking. However may I ask why now? We have been asking for a lot of these changes for years.
Like an updated forum for example...I don't even want to think how long we have been asking for that. I'm skeptical that these changes will actually happen. I hope I'm wrong but in my experience Ryan will change a few colors, make 1-2 real changes, and then disappear for another 2 years. Sorry if that sounds harsh Ryan, but I'm not the only one here who is thinking that. |
