Bouncing on Jurgzzz idea, for once, LETS DO A NO FLAG MONTH.

1) You cannot flag during the entire month
2) Anyone that flags gets instantly killed by the all table, then game resumes.

Thats it. Simple.

But what if someone flags you and that flag practically guarantees you first? I have a hard time rejecting those flags - and I mean I just take them and get 1st. GG rest of the table!

Jurgs makes great points. A no weakflag month would be great but is impossible anymore due to the fact 80% of the players shoot for the magic 3/4 slot. The only way to make it work is elevate kill bonus on higher tables to make the kill worth taking. Real flags are always good, however, in today's game if you wait till round 8 to flag you have 6 others killing you for the magic 3/4 slot.

Monkey, ofc the situation that you describe is true. There are plenty of situations where a flag around round 4 could be OK, certainly in a quick game with an obvious winner. But that doesn't justify to ignore the problem of weakflags and early flags in general.

Some of us would like to improve the quality of the game play in general and not just let it drop because of a few exceptions. It's the spirit behind it that's important. So what if you can't give a 100% accurate definition of what is a lame flag or a weak flag. I'm sure everyone with some common sense can see what weakflag means.

There are two things that need to change: 1) people need to stop weakflagging and 2) people need to stop accepting them. You could add 3) people need to counter weakflags that are accepted.

So what is a weakflag? Basically any flag that you can safely whipe out. Good criteria are something like when you have 5 times more dice than the other person or simply when you have a free big stack that could (almost) one hit with +1 rolls.

I know that some people prefer to accept a weakflag rather than take the +1 roll just out of safety reasons. Sure, when the +1 fails and the other person holds a grudge trying to ruin you as much as possible from then on, your game won't go as smoothly as planned. So be it, grow some balls and kill!

To continue with Zuma's idea of making it complicated - what if my flag next to your 8 is mandatory to continue with a shot for 2nd? I'm just unlucky being your neighbour (no offense intended), there are weaker player at the table. You still have to deny it?

Make it simple, no flags but flagging out until turn <name_a_number>, else the player is killed by all the table.

And I still believe this is only possible for tables >500. You won't get the concept and the message spread on lower ones.
