Kill Bonus? Garbage.

Why not give people something they actually want? A Team KDice league and ladder.

Presumably the changes to payout and kill boni were intended to discourage passive play and collusion. Don't delude yourself Ryan. Long term collusion is as effective now as it has always been. Kill boni, while an admirable effort, will not discourage table cliques from forming. Players that don't play by passive clique rules will be ostracized.

I will try to explain why the above is true. It's a fair assumption that players are concerned with their best interest and modifying the incentive structure (i.e. payout and kill boni) should affect player behavior but that line of thinking neglects major components of KDice. 1) Players do not always act in their best interest either because of ignorance or spite and 2) KDice is a social game, wherein past performance and reputation has a direct affect on the present.

There are two solutions to passive clique play. The first is anonymity, that is hiding the identify of players from each other. The second is permanent opposing alliances i.e. Team KDice. I am fond of the latter because it also eliminates collusion under the pretense of passive play. A Team KDice varient however should not operate as a large 1v1. Rather it should operate as the loose alliances of KDice currently do.

2 opposing teams of 2-4 players each, players of the winning team get payout even if they were earlier eliminated

The restack of a player should be determined by their own territories not their cumulative allied territory. Allies should also be able to attack one another for sacrificial play. "Should I 5v4 my teammate and connect or leave myself cut?" That will add strategic depth.

Perhaps what I described is beyond Ryan's technical prowess. If so I expect not much will change.

I don't think team games would be good for KDice and its development.

Nobody cares what a garbage cheater thinks.

Teamgames might be fun if you sat at a table and once it had filled teams were build at random. So you might end up in a team with your PGE... Any other version would just make the current teams more obvious but not add a thrill.

The idea of even payout to all starting members of the winning team is nice. Sacrificing some members to build up the others might be an option to some degree - strategically interesting variants. And you don't have to somehow sort it out within the team afterwards.

Since you don't want people to create an alt that goes to ruin teamgames whenever put in a team with disliked persons, minimum levels for teamtables could be an idea - you'd have to sit with a reasonable account and team up with others of similar experience. Like teamtables for lv>50 and lv<50 or something like that.

Team games would kill dice faster than Ryan ignoring it and letting all the Cheaters be mods and punish their enemies.

So in short it is a great idea and Ryan will be implementing it shortly.

would be good to have a team table even if it wasn't officially setup in the game metrics that people just knew it was for playing team games
