In the current non-ELO scoring system (if we could seperate tournament points from regular game points), awarding medals based on a moving average of the ppg of your last 50 games would maybe be a great way to motivate people to play at the highest possible table.

people who try to farm points at 100 ppg on 2k or even 500 will not be able to compete with the better players who play 5k regularily

Simplest change to shake up game play and reduce the mind numbing style currently pervasive in kdice is just go back to ELO era flags, instead of position you flag and get the position you are in at the end of the game. Forces you to hold on to what you want instead of just tabbing away with auto-end on when you feel your position has been settled and flagged for.

i refuse to sit with sam he's sub 1900 elo.

khistory lesson: sam couldnt make it to 2k elo until das/wish met him during some tank sessions and liked him so much that they threw points his way.

I had just gotten to the high 1900s when I ran into wish/das when they were building wish back up after he had tanked earlier. This was when it was a 300 point gap between to make 2k, 1700-2000. I am not sure how long I had been trying to get over 2k, few days I think, was hard to get favorable tables when you had a 200+ ELO over most other players. So yeah, they helped me I helped them (wish), good times were had by all.

Then later that day I earned a lifetime PGE from leek when I cost him like 40-50 points off his high ELO when I ruined him for what he thought was helping someone else, when it was just how I played.

pretty sure i ran in to sam at 1800, but we went on to create a cabal, so win.
