Deadcode Tools (Chrome)

I've finally finished the Chrome version of "Deadcode Tools".

I've created it as a stand alone chrome extension; this means that you do not need GreaseMonkey. Also the extension will automatically upgrade when future versions are released.

IMPORTANT: Please be aware that a limitation of the Chrome version is that there is no permanent data storage area for extensions. This means that if you clear the history of your browser you will lose all your stored notes! So if you plan on using this; then dont clear your history. Soon a new version will be released that stores all the notes/data remotely so this issue will no longer be a problem.

Install the Chrome version from here (screenshot available too):

If you have no idea what this is; check out the thread that explains the tool: http://kdice.com/discussion/topics/44805947

I LOVE the flag highlighter!

it might be a bit too tricky to code but I am just wondering if it could be usefull to have a highlighter for the colour name you are sitting

for example, if you sit green, have every time "green" is mentioned in chat highlight too.

you could maybe add an option to have a user editable list of words (maybe some people would like to highlight truce, counter, pga, common abreviations of their own name etc

Where is the setting to toggle the highlighter?

Next version will highlight colors as well. So if someone says "flag green" green will appear in green color.

Eventually I will get around to allowing people to choose the a set of keywords to highlight.

I was also thinking of a feature that would automatically detect a set of racist terms in the chat. Once it does so; it would log the whole chat and automatically report the person to mod's via email attaching the chat log.

good idea about the automatic chatlog reporter

I don't know if that's easy to do but if it could have a security check so I am sure it came through your server (or at least through your script), this would be 99% credible evidence, even better than screencaps.

far less complicated than doing screen caps + far less doubtfull than just copying chat + so easy to use if people can just click a report button which automatically uploads the chatlog

cliffnotes: great idea!

DC, do you think you can detect a sit out?

I mean, sometimes you lag out by accident or without noticing (or the autoend messes up). It would be very helpfull if you had an option to highlight say the entire rollbox into red text until you click sit in.

Speaking about the rollbox (so, umm, I mean the left box where attacks/defends are logged): most people interested in this already look at this box anyway but it would be cool to have the option to set up a cutoff point for "interestingly low or high roll"

The chat log will still be subject to manipulation. I'll have to think of a secure way of doing it.
