I mean most of the American consumer's needs are ultimately the needs of the corporations

Chase, you've really blown it on this one. Per capital personal income is not the same as per capita gross domestic product. So why go to a different site to pick a different statistic for the United States when a number for the United States is available from the site you gave? Then not telling us where you got your U.S. number? If you had told Congress what you just told us, you would be joining BO in doing jail time.

I haven't had time to look at the hours worked numbers yet. Might be a good idea to check them a second time.

You gave the U.S. cite _after_ you discovered that you flubbed up.

Then BO jumps in and tries to get hourly income figures by dividing GDP by hours worked. That will give you productivity of labor but not income of labor because capital consumption, etc. come out of GDP. The same site that has the hours worked also has labor earning data. So you and BO go back and get some actual earnings numbers for labor.

I used your numbers skrum. I just divided purchasing power by hours worked. So acknowledge the argument?

skum, correct me if I am wrong, but one of the main reasons that the us PPP is higher compared to other nations than their GDP is that you buy all your cheep goods from china, and pay it with debt, it is not a sign of health
