Serious Question

Republicans and Democrats aren't that different, they're both deluded but in different ways. Republicans are deluded into believing or professing farces, while Democrats are deluded into believing people might act rationally. Ultimately the fortune 500 companies and the millionaires who fund our politicians have all the power and they will get what they want (Reaganomics makes no fucking sense).

So to all the diehard Republicans out there I pose you this question: Would you rather have Obama be the President for the next 6 years OR would you rather have had Bush for another two terms?

Sam, since someone previously pointed out that conservative (or Republicans, forget which and I'm lazy) are greedy and selfish, refuting was applicable.

And since it happens in the lowest income brackets as well, tax deductions don't apply, since most people don't itemize at that income level.

And believe it or not, some people give money because they want to, not just because of a tax deduction. Craziness, I know.

I wasn't trolling you Verms, although the tax breaks are one reason the super rich have been giving more, they rather determine where their money goes to help than have Uncle Sam have it.

Also conservatives are far more religious than liberals so church tithing and similar activities fall under charitable donations. I would imagine this would tend to help account for the consistent level of charity across the economic spectrum for conservatives.

None of the preceding was meant as any type of criticism either.

Again, this is not a contribution to this thread.
