I'm offering my sincere apology for attacking you at your mom's house. I know I have caused some hostility within you. Please accept my sincere apology and don't misdirect your anger at Johnson or Fiero, none of this is their fault. I was pretty messed up on Crack that day and I don't even know what electricity is.. come to think of it, that's not even really why I was at your mom's house. Oh well, I need some more Crack!

Severing the carotid, however, will result in massive blood loss at a pace of ~5 liters/minute, leading to death within, say, 15 seconds.
