Thank you all for your input on this issue, both those that were present during the game in question and those that were not. To clarify, I did watch the entire game from start to finish and did not just come in on the end. In my observation of the game, there was no truce between CS and Ceban, although it is clear that they are friendly toward each other. Absent that game to game friendliness, there was no evidence of a truce, either silent or otherwise. It is clear that Ceban is also buddies with Kung_Fu, aka Sensei Mata. So I can appreciate that there may have been a conflict of interest between Ceban's self-admitted sense of loyalty toward Kung_Fu and his friendliness toward CS.

All that notwithstanding, in my opinion based on the game in question, there was no justification for funneling of points from Ceban to CuckSocker BASED ON THE ACTUAL GAME PLAY. Given that opinion, and the fact that Ceban had already been warned about illicit activity previously, and the fact that his own words demonstrated an intent to funnel based on factors outside the individual game, I took action.

Opinions will vary as to whether the disciplinary action was justified, excessively harsh, or totally unjustified. As I have stated before, any enforcement that mods make concerning pga, funneling, etc., are going to be subjective.

@ olkainry38: I did not "wanted an head", nor did I watch the game with any preconceived intentions. My action was based on what I observed during the game and on Ceban's statement after the game. But it is certainly true that, since he had already been observed engaging in illicit activity previously, he had no rope to spare and I was acting on a zero tolerance basis.

@Greek: Thank you for your opinion as to my knowledge of the current dynamics the game. As to my "power trip", again, that is a matter of interpretation. I am trying to do my job. If I have been more proactive than other mods, the causation may be linked to many factors. However, I have tried to be unbiased in all my decisions and have not taken action against anyone based on personal grudges. But the fact remains that I will seek to perform my job description as assiduously as possible, without concern for whether I win any popularity contests.

LOL Ceban. You really are quite amusing, but I will take the ESL issue into consideration here. My allegory was that you could consider that you got banned because you were such a terrible truce partner to CS, that there was absolutely no indication that you were, in fact, truced. In essence, you are saying that you were trying to serve two masters, like a prostitute trying to service two customers at the same time, and you did such a terrible job at it that there was no evidence that you had actually had a deal with the second one. You claim that you were truced only with CS, but yet you let Kung_Fu rape him mercilessly. That is not how a truce partner operates. So, you are either banned for funneling points for no in-game justification, or you are banned for being such a terrible truce partner that the truce was not able to be perceived. Granted the second reason is not supposed to be cause for a ban, but, since I am such an awesome truce partner myself, the fact that you are so terrible seems to me to be justification for the ban.

it honestly seems like ceban got put in a tough position and just lagged out rather than screw someone over-- i've seen non-point hungry players such as erkan, fin, and habit also lag out rather than have to choose to screw 1 person over. i think point funneling is an attempt to further a cause, such as PGAing or giving up points to help someone medal (see: Jily->trendz). ceban's offense doesn't seem like a blatant funnel.

also, you are setting a dangerous precedent declaring yourself a cool enough mod to ban people for horrible play...

For those who have limited sarcasm detection skills - The whole "banned for being a terrible truce partner" thing was totally tongue-in-cheek. It was simply illustrating that the "truce" that is being claimed was so invisible as to be perceived to be nonexistent.
