i would do it if you have no other QB...depends what free agents are available. are you asking yourself for advice or someone else, because I thought this was yours :P

Johnson is more valuable than Manning, so don't do that trade. Pick up a middle-of-the-road QB that's a starter somewhere. Kitna might be good like GB said, maybe even Tarvaris Jackson if Favre doesn't start.

By the way, as an Adrian Peterson owner, Favre not playing would be a huge boost to the number of touches AP sees every game. Here's to hoping that fracture gets worse!

alex i would advise NOT to do the cj<->manning trade. this year, it seems that killer RBs have way more value than either killer QBs or WRs. cj is an every-down back. if you give him up, your replacement for him is going to be at least 15 points less per week on average. however, if you dont have manning, your replacement will be like 8 pts less per week on average. (these are guesstimates.)

chances are that there are several decent waiver wire pickups in your league. has anyone picked stafford back up yet? ryan fitzpatrick (for the love of god, i know hes a bill, but in fantasy, hes been godlike at QB since last year). hell, even a josh freeman, matt cassel, or (gasp) jon kitna.

sorry about romo tho, i had him in one of my leagues too... thankfully ive got flacco and roethlisberger on that team... wait, why the fuck do i have 3 QBs on a team?
