Hi There. I'm making this thread in order to give advice in a game I consider myself quite accomplished at. Ask any questions here that you have about who to start/who to sit/who to draft/who to trade away or anything else fantasy football related.
My Credentials? Well I have yet to lose a fantasy football league I've been in, a game I've played every year since 2006. |

I'm trying to get Turner for Forte we'll see how it goes. |

at 8:15 AM, Tuesday October 12, 2010 EDT I still advise against trading him. Forte is legit, Turner is fragile. Despite the matchups (btw the Jets are the only legit D you list against the run, the other 3 are middle --> bottom of the heap statistically), Forte is the workhorse of that offense.

at 9:08 AM, Tuesday October 12, 2010 EDT alright moron.
First of all, you titled the thread "ABD's ffb ADVICE thread". Since you haven't grasped the engrish language yet, I'll let you in on a little secret. Adding apostrophe 's' to a noun will in fact give it possession over nouns. In this case your name is followed by a apostrophe 's' giving it possession over "ffb advice thread". It is ASSUMED you are dolling out advice, regardless of worth or value. NOT asking questions. Second of all, the first post is "I'm making this thread in order to give advice in a game I consider myself quite accomplished at." Laying the groundwork further, that this is not a two way street, in fact, it is a ONE way street, where you give advice and others listen. However worthless it might be. |

at 11:07 AM, Tuesday October 19, 2010 EDT Ok guys I have a couple legit questions for ABD and/or the community for my upcoming week because of bye weeks and other stuff.
Gotta start 2 RB's out of.... LeSean Mckoy vs Titans Ryan Torrain vs. Bears Michael Turner vs. Bengals Cadillac Williams vs. Rams I'm almost definitely starting McKoy... Between the other 3... Turner and Torrain could go either way :/ both get heavy workload and bears/begals both give up a lot of yards on the ground. Only reason i'm considering Cadillac is that he's playing the Rams... and If i don't start him on bye weeks against the Rams i might as well drop him. Ok so WR's Mike Williams (Tampa) vs Rams (get torched through the air every week) Margues Colston vs. Browns (looks great on paper but Colston has been ruining my season) Santana Moss vs. Bears (I don't like the matchup that much but he's my top receiver this year) Which 4 players do i start?!? (2 wr's 2 rb's) |

at 9:24 AM, Wednesday October 20, 2010 EDT fiero, i'll give you some abstract advice. when i am faced with a tough choice of whom to bench, i bring in the psychological factor.
for example, i have ray rice in a couple leagues, and he was doing jack squat the first few weeks. it got to the point that both yahoo and espn were projecting him to get less points than my alternatives. (it's a funky league where there is one RB, one WR, and two RB/WR flexes. yahoo projections said i should start mendenhall as RB, and then three WRs in the other slots (fitzgerald, jennings, ward). but i couldnt get over the idea of sitting ray rice for hines ward. when i get in this situation, i consider the extreme outcomes of my choice: 1) start ray rice, bench ward, and WIN because of this decision. 2) same as 1, but LOSE because of this decision. 3) bench rice, start ward, and WIN because of it. 4) same as 3, but LOSE because of it. the absolute best feelin would be 3, because i could brag that, hey, i had the wisdom/balls to bench ray rice. on the other hand, the absolute worst feelin would be 4, because good god, what moron benches a top pick like ray rice?? for me, the utter shame of 4 outweighs the glory of 3. in other words, i would rather start ray rice on the off chance that, if he does go off, i wont hate myself for having him on the pine. and good god, the entire league would heckle me endlessly for that too. so in your situation, i would start mccoy and turner, and if they fart on you, oh well, its better to lose the week because you trusted your money guys, than to lose it because you second guessed them. sorry this wasnt supposed to be so long. |
