I have grown tired of people abusing the system by using alts to perpetrate crimes against the Kstate and then being able to use their mains without penalty. From now on, if I ban one account for breaking the law, any other accounts that belong to the same ip will also be banned.
You have been warned. |

at 6:24 PM, Friday August 6, 2010 EDT It means that if a person uses one account to break the rules (pga, point-funneling, proxying, etc.), then all accounts that can be traced to that person will incur the same penalty as the alt. If the alt is suspended for a week, so will all accounts that can be traced to that person. If the alt is permabanned, then so will all accounts that can be traced to that person.
As to the inference that enforcing the rules will result in an outbreak of mad-cow disease, then so be it. Criminals should not be allowed to dictate the mores of society. If enforcing the rule of law results in sporadic retaliation by the criminals, that is simply the price that must be paid by an enlightened society. The bottom line is that people need to either play by the rules or suffer the consequences. |

at 8:34 PM, Friday August 6, 2010 EDT Sggirriluss' assessment of the concept is correct. It is the person behind the alt that is committing the offense, the alt is simply a mask. So if you commit an offense wearing one mask, you can expect to be prohibited from wearing all your masks.
I knew that at least some of you would be able to grasp the concept. I also knew that some of you would intensely dislike its implications, which is the general idea. |
