Hey guys, some of you might remember rifty's Euro 2008 competition and how fun it was so I thought I'd do one for the World Cup, if people are interested. All credit goes to rifty for making up the idea. The concept is simple, you guess the results of each game in the world cup and people compete to get first on the leaderboard and to get as many correct predictions as possible.
The points work out as, 5 for a correct result, 10 for the correct score. The second round and quarter final games will be worth 7 and 14, the semis will be 8 and 16 and the final 10 and 20. All you have to do to is post your predictions. The fixtures in the next three days are as follows: June 11th: South Africa v Mexico Uruguay v France June 12th: South Korea v Greece Argentina v Nigeria England v U.S.A June 13th: Algeria v Slovenia Serbia v Ghana Germany v Australia Have fun playing :) |

June 11th: South Africa 0v2 Mexico Uruguay 1v2 France June 12th: South Korea 0v1 Greece Argentina 3v1 Nigeria England 2v0 U.S.A June 13th: Algeria 1v2 Slovenia Serbia 1v1 Ghana Germany 2v0 Australia I'm supporting any team that knocks out France , but i'd love Serbia to win it. They are my dark horses for the competition, though I think Spain, Brazil or Holland will win it. |

at 9:53 AM, Thursday June 10, 2010 EDT its the same as everything else. if you guess 1v1 and its 1v1 then you get ten points but if you guess 1v1 and the score is 0v0 then you get 5 points because you got the correct result but not the correct score.
