at 5:32 AM, Saturday November 27, 2010 EST This is super gay. DDDY do really have that litle going on in your life to make a thread for yourself to post in? It isn't even the longest thread yet. I'm tempted to make my own thread and just spam it with alts just to spite you.
Mods should fucking ban you for bumping a dead thread. |

at 3:58 PM, Friday December 10, 2010 EST So regarding the whole luck discussion that's been much talked about recently.
This is my take on things. I can't prove anything, but I can use deductive reasoning and circumstantial evidence to support my theory. I won't go into the evidence in this thread since it would make the post even longer. So luck is supposed to be random. But we are playing a game that is programmed by Ryan and company. So luck can be shaped to better suit the needs of the webmaster. And luck can be altered significantly with the addition of a few key if/then statements in the code. This is no different then the card generator algorythems for most poker sites that let noobs win more. These programs also motivate players (in general)to bet higher amounts so that the rake is higher. So anyway, why would Ryan have the motivation to "curse" accounts? Motivation #1 - Increase $ by increasing membership. This would be likely if someone was once a member & subsequently cancelled an account. (like me) Or was never a member and plays frequently for free. The logic for these "cursed" accounts would dis-appear once a player becomes a member. Motivation #2 - squash trouble maker accounts into not wanting to play anymore. This logic for "cursed" accounts would be lifted under the discretion of the webmaster. So it's, possible and probable that the luck % does get messed with. And there are several other reasons to alter luck logic that I came up with. Most of which would fall under the category of "rewarding risk takers to increase the fun factor of the game" What are your thoughts? If you |
