I am ready to hang up these paws and give it up once and for all. I am just so sick and tired of a) seeing pga's in tournies (b) people farming to claim a higher spot compared to the fighter who gets squashed (c) people not honoring a flag

I can not take it anymore, and to the regular people who have played against me on regular tables know exactly what I am talking about. Yet most people will probably "bump" this, and ignore it and say its a game. Well, I do agree but in searching through the archives last night I noticed two things. (a) I noticed that over 1/2 of the people in the top 100 every month are the same people (b) people like me who try FAIL every time to even have a shot at getting a trophy.

I am giving this until the end of the month to see who is really a "true" person to me and to find out exactly who these idiots are. Thanks for taking the time to read and leave a supportive message or a "bump". Poochie

Im sick and tired of seeing avatars w/ dogs. J/K. I hear ya tho, it is frustrating to work your way up to the 2000 tables and totally get jacked by EVERYONE at the table before you even know what hits you.

good explanation = PGA's you said it yourself

Ok pooch, I'll give you my recipe of success. I'm not one of the uber tops, but I hope this will help ya.

1) PGAs fail when you know them. I know most of the middle rank PGAs and some of the top PGAs (due to some tops rarely visiting 500s). Watch some games, they're easy to spot, especially in 500s, where people are supposed to have some skill at all. If you see someone fighting fiercely one player side and not taking even sure shots at another one... it's PGA.

So... when you know PGAs, avoid them. Seriously, to beat a PGA you must PGA as well.. I avoid doing that, so I don't sit/leave seats when I see some well known pairs/trios. Play the games you can win.

2) If you are still not too good at this game (<60 PPG from normal games), stay at 500s. 2ks will eat ya even without some people trying to whack you as another noob. 5ks... don't even try.

3) Learn how to play. This is done at 500s best, as 500s already have dom and there are few insane kamikazes who ruin both their own games and yours. There are some guides around, read them... know the odds too, not the exact percentage, but that 0 advantage (3v3, 4v4, etc) has 45% means don't roll unless you must, +1 advantage means roll when you don't mind losing that stack, +2 advantage is almost safe, roll it often and +3 advantage is hard to lose, so just do it ASAP.

There is much more to be said, but as I said... read guides, watch some games. KDice isn't as simple as it looks like when you try to score high.

4)Tournies and PGAs... as you climb higher, you get chances to eliminate some hard opponents. It's not like being a total ass and breaking a flag - you can simply reduce their chances to win in many ways... do that.

There are 2 main strategies to win tourneys
a) eliminate strong players (without being an ass)
b) eliminate guys with most points to get a better shot at winning.

Do that when you try to win.

5) Get to know people... I don't mean forming PGAs yourself, it's just that before I whack someone I know, I wait slightly more, warn them or ask for a flag. Some people do the same to me. KDice has a social factor in any way, and without being social (chatting in the box, having friends), you just won't get far. For example I remember your avatar... but I don't know YOU. I will treat you as another unknown player next time we meet, and that is likely to be harmful for you.

5) Become a member... have you noticed that most of the tops are members? Members get twice more tourneys, they tend to know each other better. Obviously, it's not a 100% win strategy, but being a member does make things less difficult.

...hope that'll be of some use.

Here's the best tip you're ever going to get about kdice....

Try to beat your personal best. period. whats your best score? try to beat that. its just like life. there are some people that are going to be always ahead of you. some that are always going to be behind you. if you focus on those ahead of you, you're going to be jealous. if you focus on those behind you, you're going to be complacent.

you may never be as rich as bill gates. if you compare your wealth to bill gates, you're going to feel insignificant. if you compare your wealth to a homeless dude, you're going to feel superior. neither of these things is going to help you.

if you compare your finances to your finances from last year, you've got not only a realistic goal...but a worthwhile one.

my best is 116k in a month. i'd like to beat that some month when i have a bit of time to kill. does that mean i'll get 1st? does that mean i'll get 26th? i don't care. i want to get my personal best.

have fun with this dumb game. if you're a competitive bastard like me, compete against yourself.

You don't have to be good to be top 100.

You just have to:
A) Buy membership
B) Play a lot
