No, see Travis i would think "well damn maybe there is something i did to offend Travis" if the comment was directed to you. I use the terms "nigger" and "nigga," both liberally and freely. However, I don't limit the subjects of such comments to a specific race. To me, "nigger" is a dumb fuckin asshole idiot piece of shit all in one easy word. If someone is being a total douche, rather than waste lots of breaths saying all the words I am thinking, I simply call them a "nigger." (not sure why i'm still quoting it, i guess as a precautionary method to try and avoid being banned) Anyways, it doesn't matter if you are black or white. If I call you a "nigger," you deserved it.

As for the term "nigga," I give and take it as a compliment. If you are my "nigga," you have my absolute trust and I consider you as being within my most inner circle of friends. When someone calls me their "nigga," whether they be a black or a white friend, I beam from ear to ear. That being said, I too agree with detenmile. Sort of. When he says racism isn't about words, he's right. Any word can mean anything to anybody. It's about intent. If you call someone a "nigger" and you mean it maliciously, you're an asshole. But, I disagree that only actions can exemplify racism.

Having said all that, I would also like to add that in my OWN personal experiences, MOST black person who vehemently objects to the words "nigga" and/or "nigger," usually can't even identify with the majority of black people beyond the scope of having the same skin color. Guys like Travis take offense and shit as if they know what it's like to come from a rough background. Fuck off asshole. You grew up in your suburban home, go to college and have adequate financial resources. So stop preaching and acting like you speak for the entire black community. I've seen it too many time. Some people are still essentially enslaved in the sense that they have limited means and come from really rough areas. If they wanna beat my ass for saying nigger, they can. But as for you, you sir can shut the fuck up and sit down.

maybe if you went to a high school that was 95 percent white, and you had to hear how you didn't deserve to be in advanced classes bc you're a nigger. maybe if you had been jumped and beat on in the boys bathroom and spat on and called an articulate nigger...maybe you'd feel differently...maybe if your teachers deducted points from your grade to stop you from having the highest grade in your classes bc you're black, maybe you'd feel differently...So Im sorry, I get a lil upset when I hear someone using a word that they don't even fully understand.
