I'm about to logoff for the night, so I'll read the responses in the a.m.
Some people here think the rules are too soft toward cheaters (I catch flack from these people). Some people here think I'm too hard on cheaters (I catch flack from these people). Some people think the site is not moderateble (I catch flack from these people). Point is that I know I can't please everyone, so I'd like to know what the community thinks about cheating and how it should be dealt with. I know, I know, a new IP can easily be obtained. I know, I know, alt accounts can be created. However, based on the tools I have been given, what would YOU do to moderate this site if given the chance? Let's keep our responses above a 5th grade reading level if possible. And if at all possible, please post from your main account (if it hasn't been banned already). I'd like to know who is speaking without having to access my IP spreadsheet FFS. Thrax |

at 4:32 PM, Tuesday March 16, 2010 EDT LOL at Trax being Obama. You should change your icon, man!
BTW you all talking about cheating... could you write a list of your suspects? I've seen only Travis and Leek and the white guy from video. Who else? I don't play much this year and almost no 2ks. But when I did I just didn't observe that much of suspicious behaviour there. While I think Trax should have all the support to do whatever he thinks to be good for the game since he has proved to be a honest guy (although it's hard to say such thing about a Conservative), I also doubt this game is made awful for not-cheating players. The quest for 1st might be hard without 'additional effort', I don't really know. But if you want to get top 25 or top 100 or just good games at 500s - that's not a problem. |

at 11:02 PM, Tuesday March 16, 2010 EDT everyone is accused of pga. My thing is being unfairly modded. I agree that ppl that break the rules should be punished. THere are two different arguments here.
You're saying that ppl that violate the rules should be punished. I agree. However, I have a problem with the way the system is set up. and im afraid that kdice will become overmodded, if you will. I say less moderation and more community involvement with taking care of the problem. How can the community take care of the problem?...PGE, calling ppl out, etc. |

at 3:58 AM, Wednesday March 17, 2010 EDT trav, if you drag the whole community into PGEing cheaters you will give way to more manipulation and even less proper games will take place.
What you are suggesting has been done before by DLK and his Justice League. How dumb was that. Also you would give the cheaters a hell of a fight. But they dont deserve a chance to fight. |

at 7:16 AM, Wednesday March 17, 2010 EDT TJ, Ryan has tried to appeal to the site to self-moderate. While I agree with you that this is the best solution, it simply isn't possible right now. There are too many players that cheat/scheme and not enough people that care enough to stop it.
