I'm about to logoff for the night, so I'll read the responses in the a.m.
Some people here think the rules are too soft toward cheaters (I catch flack from these people). Some people here think I'm too hard on cheaters (I catch flack from these people). Some people think the site is not moderateble (I catch flack from these people). Point is that I know I can't please everyone, so I'd like to know what the community thinks about cheating and how it should be dealt with. I know, I know, a new IP can easily be obtained. I know, I know, alt accounts can be created. However, based on the tools I have been given, what would YOU do to moderate this site if given the chance? Let's keep our responses above a 5th grade reading level if possible. And if at all possible, please post from your main account (if it hasn't been banned already). I'd like to know who is speaking without having to access my IP spreadsheet FFS. Thrax |

i don't care enough about other ppl's kdice playing to have an one on one discussion about it. 2nd of all im not defending cheaters, im saying that you all are making a bunch of hollaballoo abt nothing. i don't think there is a way to effectively mod this site, if you notice ppl are pgaing: (solutions) go to another table, tell the ppl playing, argue with the pgaers abt it...I think banning is ptless. the same ppl continue to get banned. So it's clearly not an effective way to mod the site. |

Btw I sat at a bunch of 2k's after Adam was banned and it was fun. It's nice to play when there aren't proxies and blatent cheating going on. Not that he is the only cheater but it was a really nice start. You are spitting negativity on an idea that hasn't even been tried yet. Basically what I'm trying to say is. You are a cheater you need to stop promoting stupid ideas and let real people talk about real things. Something you have a hard idea understanding. |

at 5:46 AM, Tuesday March 16, 2010 EDT srsly trav, what thrax is planning (if i'm not mistaken) is to ban known cheaters at the first sight of them making any trouble. it takes thrax a few clicks to do that. to create a new account and bring it above 2k where you can cause trouble again takes much more then a few clicks.
the only people that will continue cheating are those who are mentally ill and obsessed, because any sane person will consider it too much of an effort. |

Have mains ever been punished due to an alts actions? Has anyone ever tried a 3 strikes and ALL your accounts are out? Has anyone, other than Ryan, ever suggested the thought of wiping career points and .png trophies? We're talking about sweeping reforms here, not simple slaps on the wrist. |
