I'm about to logoff for the night, so I'll read the responses in the a.m.
Some people here think the rules are too soft toward cheaters (I catch flack from these people). Some people here think I'm too hard on cheaters (I catch flack from these people). Some people think the site is not moderateble (I catch flack from these people). Point is that I know I can't please everyone, so I'd like to know what the community thinks about cheating and how it should be dealt with. I know, I know, a new IP can easily be obtained. I know, I know, alt accounts can be created. However, based on the tools I have been given, what would YOU do to moderate this site if given the chance? Let's keep our responses above a 5th grade reading level if possible. And if at all possible, please post from your main account (if it hasn't been banned already). I'd like to know who is speaking without having to access my IP spreadsheet FFS. Thrax |

at 8:58 PM, Sunday March 14, 2010 EDT Ban mains, ban IPs, and if you even think that the dude with the banned IP changed the IP and came back, ban them again.
Also reset career points, medals, and make it so you can't get to their userpage or searchable. and no more warnings like -7 days... if really want to stick to your warnings system then make it -30 days and then perma. Also start relying more on reviews if there are like 100 different people (who are clearly not the same people) leaving reviews that people are pga. 100 people can't be wrong and often times it's the noobs that lose out in pga situtations who don't know how to take screenshots or make videos or even post to the forums, and the reviews page is really their only recourse. What use is the review system if you don't use it as one of your tools. I think it's time you stepped up to zero tolerance. |

KDICEMOD wrote at 8:14 PM, Sunday March 14, 2010 CDT and this is the result of "adam's last nuke" Ryan: just banned the ip... its associated with these other accounts: | Dick | | suckmyballs | | rnd | | Harry's "Wand" | | Platinum_Roller | | Das Jr. | | the whole truth | | im not adam | | Diana Prince | | I AM SPARTACUS | | im not sitting | | im not stabbing | | im not funneling | | im not cheating | | im not pgaing | | im not proxying | | im not nuking | | im not scheming | These are now Ryanbanned and untouchable by a mod's hands. I'm a man of my word. |

at 9:15 PM, Sunday March 14, 2010 EDT @Gurgi - I think that a shared account is a form of cheating because in the end if an account was played by three good players it will always accumulate more points then an account that was played by one good player.. Just because of the sheer quantity of games played..

at 9:17 PM, Sunday March 14, 2010 EDT I told Ryan how to catch proxy cheaters over 600 days ago. It's actually pretty easy to do.
