If god is omnipotent, could he create a stone so heavy that even he couldn't lift it?

Any answer "yes" or "no" will result in him not being omnipotent. He either can't lift the stone or he can't create it, ergo he hasn't the power to do anything he wants.

i hate that omnipotence question, because i had a hallmate in college who cockily walked into my room, and asked it, then tersely said, "therefore, God does not exist." and then turned and left without allowing me to respond. plus he had a thick Russian accent. afterwards that became an oft-quoted line in our dorm. "therefore, God does not exist", stated in thick Russian accent.
