You don't "see why this is a bad idea" cause I guess you've got a brain. That's the paradox.

L'éternel problème avec les cons c'est qu'ils n'ont même pas conscience de l'être. S'ils en étaient conscients, ils ne seraient déjà pas si cons.
Quod erat demonstrandum.

Salary caps in universal health care countries make physician earnings much lower than their American counterparts. The best doctors in the world practice in the U.S. due to this. (I'll be happy to cite articles if you naysayers don't believe me)

Doctor's pay, however, is not to blame for the high cost of health care in the U.S., malpractice insurance is. Tort law in this country is absolutely absurd and practices have to insure the hell out of themselves to cover their ass. This is the largest driving force of high cost health care.

Who the fuck wants to make $125K per year as a Canadian doctor when you can come to the U.S. and make $250K. Of course everyone will just call this typical American greed....blah blah blah. Doctors deserve to make a shitload of money. If you cap the salary of a doctor the smartest people in your country might choose other, less noble professions such as a blood sucking lawyer, or god forbid a politician.

Reform tort law in the U.S. and health care costs will drop significantly. I'm not paying another 3% in taxes so the government can spend it elsewhere...........fuck that.

In the U.S. if someone walks into your yard a trips and breaks their leg.........even if you didn't invite them, and even if the brick they tripped on was labeled "WARNING: TRIPPING HAZARD", they could still take you to court and sue you. Fuck, they might even win.........a lot. It's stupid. Lawyers have ruined this country.

Yeah, I said it. If there's any American lawyers on this site.......FUCK YOU!!!

Some say a part of the problem is still basic racism.
White protestants simply don't want to pay for poor black people. So that they prefer the current unefficient system.
Cons comme la lune, ces pauv' ricains.

There are plenty of poor white people in this country too. Racism, as usual, has nothing to do with the subject. It's all about money and power. Tort law keeps lawyer rich. Most politicians are lawyers by trade. Therefore the laws will never change.

Implementing taxes to pay for an industry that is already broken is stupid. Fix the problems first, work on universal healthcare later.

However, we'd find if they fixed the problems, universal healthcare would be unnecessary as it would be affordable again.
