In defense of Thrax

So a lot of the top players have been hating on Thrax for requesting Ryan the ONlX account banning. I have nothing worthy to say about the case itself, but I do think that you've been accusing the wrong person.
As far as I am aware Thrax has a full-time job, a family and *cough* a life *cough*. He donates part of his free time for no dime so this community doesn't go completely anarchical (spel.?). Yesterday evening Sam (whom otherwise i respect) was condemning him for going after the easy-to-spot shared accounts cheaters instead of investigating the real PGA's, which are supposedly harder to catch. With all due respect, fuck that shit. You can't demand anything from mods who have no support from the site owner and whose enforcement tools barely work right. Kudos for Thrax for sincerely caring for the site, whether he is right or wrong on the particular ONlX drama. Ryan also has a full-time job and a family, as I understand, but he is getting paid for this site. Don't forget that mods can't dock points, so Thrax didn't act alone here. Ryan not only agreed with him but also participated actively in the outcome of the month. The diff is that Thrax is exposing himself to give explanations, whereas Ryan is hidden somewhere on the Pacific, on the floatable castle he bought with membership revenues. To just diss Thrax here is not only the easy way, but also the wrong one imo. Just throwing the thought out there. Love, nunes |

I assume this is directed at me. I wasn't a moderator for any of the months you listed. I've been VERY clear that I won't condone account sharing when it comes to influencing the monthly competition and while I haven't been able to get Ryan to specifically list it as a rule, he knows full and well that I am moderating in this fashion. |

at 8:52 AM, Tuesday February 2, 2010 EST Dang thrax, Ryan actually responds to you? I've sent him email on three different occasions on a variety of topics and he hasn't yet bothered to reply.
Looks like the end of last month was fun. Sorry to have missed it. |

This is not a democracy, and honestly, the only person Thrax needs to justify a damn thing to is Ryan. The faster folks figure that out, and actually play the game as it was meant, the better. |

If you are interested. Your call. |
