Uh...Question about and to the mods... specifically holyharlequin and hollymolly

So I was wondering if holyharlequin (HH) keeps any contact with holly molly. As confusing and controversial as it was for holly molly to give a 7 day -post to a few players for breaking a rule, how is it that holyharlequin comes in a couple hours later and gives +post to 2 players with no reason at all? All it says is 'reset'
Vermont made a good point in a previous thread that for moderators to be respected, they need uniformity. HollyMolly at least went to the trouble to try to give an equal punishment to all the people that bumped the thread. HH simply comes by and un-does punishment of 2 of the 10 or so people punished without any reason except "reset" ??? I really dont think you guys should be crossing yourselves like that.. I know if vermont punished a group of people for something, Thraxle would never come behind him and handpick a select few to unpunish... or if he did, he would at least provide some insight as to his reasoning. What's the point of a mod going to the trouble of writing explanations of punishments of another mod can just come behind the first mod and write 'reset' and let it go like that? HH, if you disagree with HollyMolly's punishments, at the VERY LEAST post some sort of reasoning and ffs if you're gonna un-punish peole for an action... unpunish ALL of the people that commited that action... P.S. - HH, if you're trying to gain popularity and respect in the kdice community by undoing the actions of what you believe are done by an unpopular moderator... having yourself look like yodel's personal buddy-buddy moderator is probably the wrong way to do so. i think HM was correct that the idea was definitely hate language, and should have been modded. i think the questionable decision HM made was to threaten kdice (HM doesnt realize how kdice reacts to threats i guess). when threatened, a large portion of kdice goes nutso and makes a bigger deal out of everything than it really is. which is why that post will now probably be bumped for the rest of k-eternity. i believe that if HM hadnt threatened that post, it wouldve died its own death, sort of like greeks post about playing with your dick. so, bad judgment call by HM that called more attention to the hate language than there wouldve been. also, HM forced the rest of the mods to fall in line with the judgment or else look like kdice mods are not unified. so i agree with sam, who agreed with fiero. other site mods need to run judgment calls past kdice mods before they turn a situation into a crisis. (but now that its a crisis, obama will provide kdice with 1.5B USD of relief aid.) but i dont agree with sam, that this makes fiero look like a good mod, heh. |

Prior to being made a mod she got TCS to ban my chat because I dared to interupt a conversation she was having with others (actually I just tried to join it). She told me to "shutup, and if I didn't she knew friends in high places who would take care of me". I was banned under the claim I was spamming, which was bull (though I do admit to calling her bluff and challenging her to trie).
I've also was banned for daring to challenge Ryan on his PGA is bad thinking. I said, and still believe, that PGA's make the game interesting, and are a positive, not negative. This was in forum posts. Both are examples of the poor judgement of mods, and more broadly the misguidedness of the concept of mods. We don't have mods in real life, and we don't need them here. Can you imagine if the government created mod-like laws under the claim of social contract? Well I guess some of you who live in China, Russia, etc don't need to. Mods should protect against harassment, and that's about it. |

at 9:09 AM, Wednesday January 20, 2010 EST ya i know Verms. i was a bit upset that DD got -post'd for the bump, because i disagree with the policy of threatening people if they bump shitty threads. maybe thats ok in gpokr or xsketch, i dont know, but in kdice, that will only worsen the situation. so i was honestly trying to take jabs at HM. i felt it was worth the impending week ban, especially given that bans on these sites are not against a player, but against an account (which i also disagree with, but thats a different story).
