Okay, sharpen your pencil, integral. My point (you better write it down again) is following:


1) Giving yourself a contributor badge is just lame.
At first sight, I lol'd a bit when I saw it. But then, on second thought, every sane person must think that Thrax'/Kmod's action was lame. In football, a referee also doesnt vote himself to be an awesome contributer to the game. I don't know if American Football has such votings, but I guess that if referees do get a "contributor badge", they get it from an official committee or the from the President of the Football League, but they dont go to the closet and help themselves.
So yes, you are right when you say that I'm against him giving himself a +. Others should do that if justified.

2) The Thraxle account doesn't deserve a contributor badge in the first place.
The player Thraxle is neither an awesome player, nor has he ever contributed anything to this site. He's just an average... maybe a good... but not an awesome player.
KDICEMOD did spot one or two PGAs, still it took him ages to perma ban DLK. If you want to give him a badge for that... fair enough, but then please give it to KDICEMOD and not to Thraxle.
To sum it up: yes, I also agree with kam, when he questions if Thrax should get a + for being an awesome player, when he's not.


3) There is no need to give Thrax/ KDICEMOD anything.
This is basically what I posted under "2)"... but to make it clear again: KDICEMOD is just an average mod in my opinion... He's just doing what he's supposed to do anyway: muting and banning people. Unlike gpokr, contributor badges are still something meaningful in kdice. Vermont, Grun and Cody got their plus, because they helped the community a lot when they wrote their stragtegy guides. Skrum got it, because he constantly provides us with interesting stats. Yes, they deserved their badges. What good has KDICEMOD done so far? (Let us forget for a second, that he unmuted your alt...)

I know that I'm wasting my time here, because I will never be able to convince you, because you've already made up your mind, about what a great Mod Thaxle/KDICEMOD is.
The reason why I'm still posting here? Well, maybe it's the German sense (oh yes... GERMAN - another reason to disagree with me) for order.
Also, I still like kdice even though I tend to spend too much time on it and I think that in order to survive, the site needs some really good Mods/ Advisors. Especially when the creator decided to stop caring about the game.

Well... its sad, cause usually i hate to do it, but i have to agree with moondust.

IF you seriously contribute YOURSELF, at least not with that stupid reason. IF you contribute anyone, AT LEAST with some common sense.

This was not way over the line, but it sucks and kills the reputation of the game, yourself, and all the things we like. Think about it, and hopefully undo or change it.

I like you Thrax, you know that, but the guys who respect you wont keep doing it if you just try to lick some ass and go nuts.

(No offense fury and sam, personally i think you deserve some kind of contribution, ive no clue in which way yet, but you do ;>)

This is kind of silly, but read up kam. Not sure why i need to justify myself, and I'm no monte, but here goes...

Other than the reason stated on my profile (lots of guys backstab and stall) i have made contributions to kdice (and maybe lesser on xsketch - int and I tried to exploit a loophole that would have ruined the game, we got nabbed, sophie stole the pot, and ryan fixed the system - nice waste of 2 hours). Hell, i have a million points, held #1 alltime, have a lot of medals (cue pga accusations) and was a damn good ninja flagger if i do say so myself.

The crew that used to play a ton tried to add some fun to a game that can easily grow old. Why are there kill stats???? We came up with the one hit game. (monte will claim the assassin game was his first, but i think it was wish, sam and me) When scoring changes came about we played on the sandbox and tested Ryan's newest scoring systems (which sometimes didn't even come from Ryan - i forget who it was when the first major change to poker style scoring was implemented)

Ok, I'm definitely not monte. I cant write anymore. More to come. Maybe.

thus implying that you agree with kam. You can't agree with someone who says it's okay for thrax to have a contributor status when you are clearly against it.

I don't think you needed to write an essay to respond to that. All you had to say was:
