...and there is no sign that Mr. Obama is any different from the past democrats that sat in the oval office. The only exception is that he has 100% compliance within his party and a majority in congress that will pass anything Mr. Obama supports.

How hypocritical is it that Mr. Obama continues to remind the general public of the deficit he inherited, but then spends so recklessly that the possibility of having a balanced budget anytime within his term is utterly impossible.

How hypocritical is it that the libs called the recent spending bill that was passed a "stimulus package". How does $20 billion dollars towards food stamps stimulate the economy? What jobs will be created by increasing food stamp allowances? This is only one example of many within that spending bill, but I'll try to avoid making this post unneccisarily long.

One of you left wingers need to help me understand what our President is attempting to do. The view from the cheap seats here in right field makes the picture look exactly like I thought it would look before the election took place; the liberal democrats want a socialist republic in place of our cherished capitalistic society. Let's continue to drain the rich to pay for the poor. Let's continue to increase taxes on large corporations that have been laying off employees at an enormous pace. Let's increase benefits to the unemployed instead of finding ways to provide jobs for them.

I'm ranting a bit, but one thing is clear. Barack Obama scares the living shit out of me. JP, UGB, anybody, please help me feel better about the job he's doing.

And someone explain to me how the fuck he has a 67% approval rating. They must have done the polling at a foreclosure seminar or a foodbank.

Mr. I,

How can you say that he won't be spending as much as "Bush and his cronies"? His budget this year is $500,000,000,000 more than in Bush's largest budget year (2008).

Let's just outline Obama's best selling points during his campaign as to why he should be elected President:

#1 - Smaller government

nationalizing the banking industry (in effect)
nationalizing the auto industry
trying to nationalize healthcare

#2 - lower spending/more responsible spending

largest government budget in HUMAN HISTORY
spending more on defense this year than Bush did in his final year ($13 billion more)

#3 - more transparent goverment

LOL

#4 - getting the U.S. out of Iraq

hasn't happened yet
when it does happen, it's a short trek to Afghanistan - enjoy your stay

#5 - tax cuts for the middle class

OK, so I did get a tax cut on my paycheck, thanks Barry

however, that will be rescinded fairly soon (and likely get increased) so that I can pay for some poor guys family to have healthcare that is as good as mine, thanks Barry

And by the way, for those of you that didn't know what Barry did for many years after graduating from college, he was a community organizer. Yet, the White House is denouncing the efforts of the "Republican mob" at recent town hall meetings. While the White House is denouncing this, they are planning on bussing in their own organized assembly to counter the "Republican mob's" effort. Does anyone not see the flaming hypocrisy in this?

from my original post:

"And someone explain to me how the fuck he has a 67% approval rating. They must have done the polling at a foreclosure seminar or a foodbank."

Man, 67% seems like so long ago. That rating is falling pretty fast these days. Guess it takes about 6 months to sober up from Kool-Aid.

yeah thrax, no offense but your arguments would be stronger if they didn't seem one sided...when you put obama in the class with all democratic presidents then it makes it seem like you have a problem with democrats in general...and then everyone hits the mute button...bc being a democrat is so "in" right now.
TBH the US will continue to have problems until we GO GREEN!!!

To UGB:

What scare tactics did I use? Just pointing out his hypocrisy.

I'm not at a town hall screaming at a Representative. I'm not trying to sell people that he wasn't born in Hawaii. I'm not trying to say he's a Muslim.

The only scare tactics I see being deployed is by the democrat side.

And BTW, I don't listen to talk radio, so Rush and Co. is out. The only time I watch Fox News is for comedic value because they are so far right its hilarious. The other news organizations are busy sucking Barry's dick. Where do you get reliable information then? The internet perhaps? Polls seem to be a good indicator, and he's heading towards fail in most of them.

For the record, healthcare definitely needs some kind of reform, but nationalizing it isn't the answer. Why would anyone think that the U.S. government is effecient enough to run this type of a program?

To Johnson:

When did I mention the word democrat AT ALL in my last statment?

Do you honestly believe you'll have a private option for healthcare 5 years from now if this legislation is passed?

You didn't retort my facts on his heavy spending.

You didn't retort my opinion on the middle class tax cut.

Government has done nothing but expand further and further into the private sector since Barry's inaugration. Is that a sensationalized assumption or "scare tactic"?

Did the White House not inform Democrat representatives how to handle angry "mobs" in their town hall meetings? Did the White House not accuse the GOP of organizing these protests which, even if it were true, is no different than what the Democrat party leader has been doing for the past two decades?

Am I really using scare tactics, or just stating the obvious?

You never felt GW was out to get you because GW was in fact never out to get you.

Obama, in the end, will raise taxes on the upper 75% of this country after stating in his campaign the only the rich would receive a tax increase. Call that a scare tactic if you like, but that IS what will happen.

Now, you keep asking about hypocrisy, so I'll give you the best examples:

Obama denounced Bush's excessive spending over his 8 years, yet has outspent Bush this year by 15% compared to last years budget.

Obama denounced Bush's excessive spending on defense, but his budget this year outspends Bush by $13 billion compared to last year (that includes the portion of last years budget that was named "war on terror" spending)

The White House is using their own "scare tactic" in denouncing the demonstrators in recent town hall meetings by calling them "mobs". The White House's reaction to this unruliness is to send their own "mobs" to counter them and claiming that it is Republicans organizing these events. Fairly hypocritical that a President who spent two decades as a GREAT community organizer doesn't like it when the organizing opposes his views.

"But I don't want the folks who created the mess to do a lot of talking. I want them to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess. I don't mind cleaning up after them, but don't do a lot of talking."

Sounds like a First Amendment violation to me...
