What's the big deal about truces?
How do you expect people to play? Attack everybody? Or you hate only explicit truces?

I think as soon as anyone says "[Colour], truce?", the game is pretty much over. To give everyone a fair chance, isn't it much better not to truce? I mean, it's a social game, what's more social; befriending one player for the wrong reasons (he can attack you on your weak point, so you just ask for a truce to protect yourself) and pissing off 5 others, or befriending 6 players without pissing off anyone?
if I would truce, i could easily be in the top 100. But I prefer to try to get there solo.
Don't you hate it as well when you are in the leading position because you were playing a nice strategic game, then suddenly the 2nd and 3rd guy truce against you and you get 5th place or something?

I think it makes the game that much more social when you have to ensure no two players can dominate the board, but many people highly disagree with me on that!

so you're against truces as well, JKD?

I love 1-2 truce, and counter truces even more, but you have to counter early instead of wondering why the two biggest players finished 1st and 2nd
