I tried doing my TAPL last night and got 121 (or 12,100)

"The sum of the squares can be calculated directly from the percentages, rather than the number of games, and the resultant is multiplied by the number of games played and by 100 to get the TAPL."

Can you dumb that down?
Preferably in the form of an equation.
With X to represent games played

Umm, I don't want to give you more work scrum, but I tried to calculate mine, and It came out to 11,720...

Fazer: I will try that against with the paste:

TAPL = 100*X *[(p1-.14)squared/.14+(p2-.14)squared/.14+(p3-.14)squared/.14 + (p4 - .14)squared/.14+(p5-.14)squared/.14+(p6-.14)squared/.14+(p6-.14)squared/.14]

where X is the number of games

p1, p2, p3, are percentages of firsts, seconds, thirds, etc. expressed as decimals. Note that all the .14s in the equation are decimals.

If you use integers instead of decimals, take out all the decimal points from the .14’s and take out the 100.

Here is your TAPL for April for 87 games:

TAPL = 87 * 100 * [.06squared/.14 + 0squared/.14 + .03squared/.14 + .03squared/.14 + .01squared/.14 + .05squared/.14 + .02squared/.14] = 522.

JDizzle:

Your TAPL for April is 280.

As a bonus, your TAPL for March was 1189.

Your TAPL for March and April combined is 815.

Why is the combined TAPL less?

1. You could be changing your strategy.
2. You could be facing better opponents.
3. You could be trading off one kind of skill for another.
4. The inventor of TAPL needs to find something better to do.

And a final question, what size of score is better? larger or smaller?

Dizzle: Bigger is better.

rnd, no matter how you try to change it I am the undisputed master of having a percentage against luck.
