What are "heads up games"? Are they the games for runner ups or something?

while tournaments sound like a great idea; I would be wary of trying to fit kdice into a poker box.

I think the should be alot of discussion into how the points from these tournaments would be integrated into the monthly competitions; my impression is that this would be a buy-in type function, and I'm not sure that would work well.

so can we expect a first test tournament soon?

Heads up just means two players left.

The other model for tournaments is do the pyramid style where only 1-3 move to the next round. The problem with this is that it puts too much importance on the first round. In a game with a lot of luck like KDice (and holdem) this doesn't give you enough time to account for bad luck. The poker model fits much better.

It looks like I'll start some testing in Sept.

Is is time for me to rock another test server?
Yes, I believe so. That is unless I'm busy with school, but whatever. I can make time to play on a test server.

ryan, i believe MTT would be a lot of fun. and i cant wait to try them out. but how can you not worry of the consequences of something like this when there are so many large pga groups dominating kdice as of late. it seems to me it will just be a new way of making large amount of points for pga groups.

haha. Tom has wanted this forever. I will definitely come back and play this style sometime. It sounds awesome, and totally nice of ryan to do.
