"you're dead before your first turn"
I dun think that ever happens to me, but there is time that I only have one or two dice left before my first turn.
Even that sucks already, Ryan definately need to fix that.

Fix what? Fix people attacking you?

For all the times you have such a terrible start there are also many times that you have an insane good start like adjacent 5s or 4 linked

Well, had to vote to make this idea happen.
I just sat in on another game where I lost 61 pts. before I had a chance to make a move! Why should I lose points if I never get to actually take my turn?

i have a solution for fair competition in kdice but i fear - no one will listen

how to make kdice more competitive

instead of "score based" tables - we need a two level based table

a free - qualification level --- level 1
and a closed - competition level ---- level 2

u can only join a competition level (2) if u won level (1) to open it

for example:
level 1 table (open for everyone but no points no scores)
level 2 table (only open for players who won last level 1 or 2 game)

as long as u not win, u keep playing level 1 and don´t get scores and don´t lose score

after a victory u can play level 2 and get the chance to score but u go back to level 1 if u not win

and ONLY WINNER GETS POINTS OR QUALIFY FOR COMPETITION - 2nd, 3rd, 4th places and flags are valueless

and u get more points if u win couple of level 2 table games in a row:

1 point for winning level 2 1 time
7 points for winning level 2 2 times in a row
49 points for winning level 2 3 times in a row

but as soon as u NOT BECOME 1st u bump back to level 1

this system would block pga...and even more the whole flagging shit

but the current free and open system makes the whole ranks valueless

but i fear again...noone listen...

Sometimes you get a crappy start and get wiped out, other times you start with 4 territories connected with favorable stacking. It all evens out. I say leave it alone.

Well, it was a 0 table. but I still think if you die before your first turn there should not be a penalty.
And no need to punish others, it would simple add that many points to the pool. KDice does not have to be a 0 sum game.

i disagree. and i have had a 7 games run of loosing in the first game turn.
Only soultion is PLAY MORE GAMES.

It is a bummer when it happens but probability would say that it happens with a similar frequency to all players and as such will even out over any given month.

Conclusion: Don't worry about it, it will happen to all players every now and then in a roughly even fashion.
