Lets just ban everyone

Not only racist but also nacionalist commenters should be banned. I am from Europe, and sometimes it could happen that somebody would say to you "shitty Hungarian" or "dirty Slovak" or something like this. Those who say things like this should be banned also.

Honestly I'm still mad over the Rape of Nanking. Can we do something about that as well?

The Rape of Nanking? I'm afraid it's too late o do anything about that. Some of the Japanese war criminals got executed, some got jailed, some others (notably members of the Imperial family) were protected by the Americans (notably General Douglas MacArthur) and escaped justice. But even if some of the offenders are still alive (most are certainly dead), they are all elderly. Would anyone benefit from jailing a 100 year old war veteran? He could be transferred from his nursing home to a jail, but would be dead in 5 years either way. The window of opportunity is gone, and has been for many years.

I'm sorry for the victims and their families, but this case shouod be put to rest.

Well, that should totally depend on the context. Slavery is still a part of American history, and should be taught in history classes. You could try to justify affirmative action policies on the grounds that differences in wealth/social standing between the white and coloured persons were brought about by some regrettable episodes/measures in the past (slavery, disfranchisement, discrimination). The Treyvor Martin case indicates that some people think discrimination against African-Americans continue to this very day. We should not forget the past but using these episodes just to denounce the US or the American people is primitive.

Racism stinks like cow poop but you can't control people's thinking online. Words online by these people are pointless anyway.... You either indulge in it letting it ruin your appetite or brush it off because you can always turn off your computer and not let it get to you. A ban is a good idea, in fact it might even help decrease this behaviour but it won't solve anything..Unless there's a police monitoring or something, then the consequences will be harsh.
