I think you should make a certain table with no chat window, so that alliances could not be made. i like alliances most of the time, but it would be fun to play with no communication to see how that would be

I had the same idea a while back, but the counter to this "solution" would be: 1. Use offline chat to describe your color and/or position on board (e.g. I have the only 5 stack on the table); and 2. pre-game decide that playerA will sit out and sit in 5 times before games starts and playerB will do the same 4 times, etc, etc.
So even if you made all these changes AND make everyone's color on their own monitor look purple say, a cheater could just get around that. Since there is no chat, there is no way that 5 or so other players will recognize the cheater and any possible counter will not takes place. Bad idea, there are other better ideas that should be worked on. |
