What is Kdice like up top?

This game has devolved over time. Cheating has become more advanced. The top spot each month is usually pre-arranged between friends that use IM constantly during game play. Some of the more blatant PGAers do not give a shit about being caught and just lie and use disinformation to detract from their accusers findings.
These patheticoids do not have to use IM all the time, in game. But rely on in to get their game plan together. While others rely on a combination of PGA and proxy with the team sitting at 3 plus spots on the board. The only thing that has become worse over time, is that there are 3 plus groups or -cabals- who sometimes compete each month. Like this month, for example is a competition of piss ants. The sophistication of the cheating is at a point where only the trained eye can see what is going on. (insert comments about tinfoil hat wearing here). There have been so many admissions of cheating in the forums in the past. For example, the -how to cheat- post from Shad et al. and actual IM conversations posted within the forums that prove everything. Only a pure idiot would believe that the top is not ruled by these underhanded methods. This game is being dominated primarily by nothing more than a bunch of geeks who got there asses kicked in there youth and must hide behind a keyboard to virtually bully others. This way, they can elevate their low self-esteem. Pathetic, truly pathetic. How to stop it? It is not possible. Why? Take the Zoid example or the Chase example. Both are admitted and blatant cheaters. Both are still playing and cheating. Nothing gets done. At a higher level, look at it like this. This is a free gaming site. Everyone who is reading this stupid post is contributing to Ryans number of hits per month. This makes his site more attractive to advertisers. More hits = more $. Simple. In the end, drama, controversy, good vs. evil and conflict all are useful conduits to make money. So to everyone who has spent endless hours cheating their way to a top spot, look in a mirror to see the person who was actually pwnd by a player name Ryan. |

at 7:52 AM, Sunday January 30, 2011 EST This is what I imagine the top players of kdice to be:
A few pathetic people (mostly blokes) who should be spending more time either working, or with their family, or doing homework, or being out in the fresh air, ie, doing anything but being sad lonely bastards who are obsessed with an internet game. Morning All Rifty |

at 5:11 PM, Sunday January 30, 2011 EST Well, I find it rather pathetic and it just makes me smile to know that there are some morons out there who devote their existance to cheating at kdice. I could try to understand someone who would cheat to be "someone" in the larger AAA tyoe of game with big community. But here, there are maybe couple hundrets of players and maybe a dozen or two who gives a shit about who is winning. I really feel sorry for those young men that are wasting time cheating at kdice - how miserable your life has to be to do such thing?

at 6:59 AM, Monday January 31, 2011 EST so reminder, let me summarise your objections;
1) if you are a bad player, you need IM to cooperatae 2) if your partner is a bad player you need IM make him suck less. in which case he is prolly cramping your style, more than you gain from having him 3) if you and your partner are bad players that cannot read the board, you need IM to suck alittle less |

Given the that there are several cheating permutations that can be derived by using PGA, IM & Proxy, I will focus on your IM question. Yes, some people cheat simply by using PGA. Yes, some people cheat by simply using proxy. Yes, some people cheat by using IM as a tool. None of these cheating methods are mutually exclusive. So take the example of being in any battle from the beginning of time. Solid communications have always been critical. Effective modern warfare requires covert communications on a secure line to execute a dealy battle plan. The more covert, the more the element of surprise will leave your enemies puzzled by asking "wtf just happened?" You see, if you walk right up to your enemy, during the day out in the open with a hand gun, your enemy will likely blow your head off with a shotgun. But if you use stealth via sniper position and/or unmanned aircraft at night, your enemy will never know wtf hit him. More importantly, you will be able to perpetrate the same type of battle plan again, and again and again, because your operating "under the radar." You will not get "called out" readily unless your opponent is paying attention to what is going on. The use of IM in KDICE is no different from players using headset communications while playing Call of Duty. The only difference is that in Kdice, the use of IM is cheating. |

at 2:26 PM, Monday January 31, 2011 EST dddy, i think what mrk is trying to say is that, assuming that 2 people have basic knowledge of kdice strats/chatbox usage, then 95+% of the time, a situation NEVER arises during a game where they need to communicate with each other about where to move. the moves are obvious.
i tend to agree with him. back when the cabal was goofing around in early 07, we would have IM clients open, but here were the most talked about subjects: 1) investments 2) bitches 3) sports teams 4) ali is a terrorist 5) wish is a racist 6) das is a bitch 7) in game decisions 7a) against each other (i.e. "GODDAMN FUCKING COCKSUCKER, YOU DIDNT NEED TO TAKE THAT TERR FROM ME, IM GONNA SUICIDE INTO YOU, AND YOU GET 4TH INSTEAD OF 2ND, YOU SHITTARDED MORON") 7b) placement ordering (i.e. "dammit i hate canarioz, give that bastard 7th", or "well rnd, gets 1st, int 2nd, monte 3rd... das that leaves you 4th, sry bro, pretend that you lag out (while having 25 territories)"... and das would, cus he was the bitch) 7c) actual strategy. anyways, im not trying to justify anything that was done, just sharing my experience from 4 years ago. talking strat happened maybe once every 7 or 8 games. discussing order placement would happen every game, cus we would all bitch for placement. hell, we would all just bitch at each other for the most part. |

at 2:30 PM, Monday January 31, 2011 EST add on top of that the estimation that we played the majority of our games alone, because the other guys were not online.
anyways, question for you dddy, because i like to listen to your theories: how do naive new kdicers become assimilated into the top tables? |

at 2:34 PM, Monday January 31, 2011 EST Mr K., how about getting off your high horse and realizing that two people never think the same? It's like you're talking about two identical twins here who think in the same way and expect the same moves from each other.
There are too many variables in this game to read your pga partner perfectly. If you can read your partner's mind perfectly, plan your own game, see all the diplomacy, and coordinate all of that to perfection, then gratz to you Mr. PC. If you can do the same with 2 or more partners, then I praise you, o Lord. Still, you speech sounds to me like "I can ride a bike, eat ice cream, watch TV, do the laundry and have a threesome at the same time! You can't do it? You suxxxx!" type of boasting. I may suck, never claimed I was the best, but I highly doubt you're on the level you claim to be. |
