Dottir takes 2011 yearly TAZD.

To qualify for the yearly TAZD competition, you must have played an average of 60 regular games per month, or to finish, 720 games.

The zero datum used was

07.2, 07.9, 10.2, 14.0, 17.5, 20.3, 22.9.

I have child-proofed the yearly TAZD, but I will not say in what way I have done it. The childproofing did not have to kick in in 2011.

***Special note: Actually the childproofing did kick in for Xar in the November standings, not because of any action of his, but by my compiling his January 2011 seventh place percentage as 14 instead of 14%. That happens if you don't include the final % sign when you capture the data with the mouse. Note that his final percentages added to 129%. Xar's corrected November standings should have been

0865 15% 19% 17% 14% 12% 11% 07% 13457 Xar

Here are the complete final standings:

dottir- playing more games only improves your TAZD (zero datum, not datum zero btw)if you maintain the same percentage profile. If you can't, it increases your games multiplier but decreases your baseline score.

The TAZD* accounts for outliers. The TAZD treats outliers just like anyone else. At ten minutes a game on average- which is not unreasonable for someone like dottir, who probably loses some games very quickly (a matter of a minute or two) and plays some games for a long time (ie when she's trying for first)- is 66520 minutes spent on kdice so far this year. That's 1,108 2/3 hours. 46.2 FULL DAYS. To me this is ridiculous. Clearly it isn't for dottir, since she has a love for the game, but for the vast majority of the population it is. Among the top 100 last month, the average number of games was 185.75.

Running the 100 metre dash versus the marathon: It doesn't require a lot of endurance to complete a marathon with no time limit. You could just walk the whole way. That's like playing a lot of games of dice without being excellent at it... ending with a mediocre percentage profile.

By no means am I trying to be disrespectful here and there is no reason for you to take offense. This is not about you, dottir, and none of my arguments are meant to target you specifically. You just happen to be a good example of a good, but not exceptional, percentage profile paired with an extremely high number of games.

monte- finished my project way faster than I expected. I'll run an updated annual TAZD* tonight, including normalising percentage profiles to 100.
