The idea section is where you place stuff that for sure should not be acted upon within the next century. You are fairly new, but this section is dead. It holds many ideas if you bother to scroll back in time - they won't be realised ever though.

Sorry to tell you, this game is not being developed any more. It seems to pay (or have paid) well enough the way it is. Or there is bigger and more secure revenue in other places.

why does ryan not just sell the site and all accompanying materials to deadcode? Seems like the obvious answer to me

Deadcode has already constructed his own over at warsocial.com.

Why would deadcode buy it?

Why would he not buy it? Kdice has an active member base and currently making money. Its also likely going to still be here even if warsocial grows. You eliminate your competitor, gain a starting member base, and gain a revenue stream (albeit small). deadcode can give a decent product the changes it needs to increase its value and then follow it up with better marketing. Ryan would get $, which would seem to be his primary interest with kdice.

No brainer, imo.

That's only for the URL, not the business though. You'd have to factor in the revenue stream he has from member's purchases, etc. at minimum.

You'd have to make some assumptions like the member base will stay constant and then figure out the present value.
