anonymous boards

There should be anonymous boards with no chat and hidden avatars and names... just as an option.
At the end of the game the avatars and names should pop up and the chatbox should open. So you know AFTER the game, who you played with. Entering the higher tables is sometimes extremely frustrating. I met more than one player, who feels that way. It is a close community there, very often it smells like a huge pga-party. These players are just too busy with each other, finding it funny, not respecting new players, ignoring flags etc ... So keep everything like it is, but add this option. thx |

at 1:41 PM, Friday July 11, 2008 EDT This idea has been proposed many times in the past but it has never been implemented and most likely never will be. Although it sounds great, the problem is that it would allow AIM cheaters to *completely* dominate, since none of the other players would be able to communicate at all. So, although at first glance it sounds good, it is really a terrible idea.

at 2:25 PM, Friday July 11, 2008 EDT ... while you were replying, another two players voted for this idea.
I see your point, but obviously people are frustrated ... What do you suggest? Stay out of the higher tables? Open certain "leagues" so that the inner circle has a playing ground? |

A possible solution would be that one can only see the colour of the player whose turn it is and one's own colour. At the same time, one could minimize the response time. I guess that this would make it pretty hard to communicate on AIM. |
