A bit more detailed of an example.

Lets say I control a "space" with 4 dice. Instead of 4 dice showing It would have a custom token piece (with possible animations)

For example-

My space would show a 16 bit Janet Reno sprite with the number 4 above her head. When I attack a "space" it would have a small animation (2-3 frames tops)

Perhaps they could impliment some custom paint application (grid based similar to paintbrush) or upload your own.


Just an idea to appeal to more people and make the game a bit more personal. How cool would it be to see Janet Reno vs The Red PowerRanger ?

It would annoy the shit out of me, and if they were animated, it would be enough to make me stop playing the game

Nice idea, but...

It would end up being kind of stupid and it probably would take time to do so. Actually, that would also make it completely different from kdice. It would need to be renamed, unless you wanted to call it "karate dice".
And, you don't need a "ryan shouldn't do this" button. It speaks for itself. If no one likes it, it won't happen.

Main problems with this idea-

1. Issues of loading/downloading/the server space to keep them all on.
2. Issues of making colours- they'd have to be coloured else two people could use the same image and things would start to get confusing. Remappable images are annoying to make and limited in choice.
3. How long until someone makes it so that their 8-dice picture is a 1 dice stack, their 7-dice picture is a 2 dice stack... etc.?
