I think having 5 players instead of 7 would be way better for a bunch of reasons

1) Less waiting time to start in high-score tables
2) More even starting position (more territories => law of "larger" numbers => less starting stupidity)
3) A more even start means it might solve some things that the 16 dice version hoped to, except better

I know I'm right 'cause I always play dicewars with 5 players an' it's more fun + less tedious than w/ 7. My dicewars experience: 2 and 8 are the stupidest - o n both you can effectively lose before your first turn (playing against the computer!!), 3 and 7 are better, but 5 seems optimal.
