at 2:17 AM, Tuesday February 24, 2026 EST That replay is really fun to watch....
The most amusing part for me personally is, that das is accused of whining... usually he accuses me of just that :-D Other than that, there seems to be a history of stabbing/misscommunication from a previous game. The existing anger - rightful or not, who cares, there is anger and emotions - is unloaded. There are hard words from both sides. Nothing very original or extreme, just average insults (bitch, faggot, clown...). If you started banning for that, this place was empty in no time (ok, the bots would be here). If these words would occur frequently from accounts, you might think of reacting. A single outburst - get a drink and come back in 30 minutes. You might argue that there is some pre-positioning from last game (game-to-game-favor with negative odds), but as I always said, some hotblooded revenge should always be fine in a game. Last point: Having alts is not against the rules as long as you just play one account at a time. Closing remark: We do need more mods to have a small chance of checking for proxy-cheating and abusing alts. We do need more mods to influence wording just by being present (haven't heard much swearing when a mod was visible at the table). |

at 4:50 AM, Tuesday February 24, 2026 EST I kinda second what Louis is saying. That said, I can sympathise with people when it can seem or actually be a personal attack.
The alternative is this, type '/mute' and then the persons name... /mute Created This would be a mature response and a way of taking responsibility for one's contribution to the conversation. |

at 6:17 AM, Tuesday February 24, 2026 EST Louis and Created, I suggest you review rule number 3 on the rules page for kdice. One of the examples Louis used, and said in the replay is considered hate speech.

at 4:59 AM, Wednesday February 25, 2026 EST Get real Gauntlet.
Any mod would have to ban you first - "bitch" clearly is hate-speech. We are 2:16 in the game. GR is indicating that badluckguy might be stupid - clearly hate-speech, right? Banned even before you. 2:48 "kill purple" is obviously hate-speech from your side again. Reactions follow (fuck you gaunt), so after banning Gauntlet and GR purple can be banned as well... We continue this way, we finally have killed the game. I know players greeting each other with a friendly "fuck you" - clearly hate-speech if you go by the letter. And I am not going to discuss if hate on race or sexual orientation is worse than hate based on intelligence or other aspects - you ban one, ban them all. Loads of free time gained. So please, grow some fur, punish the guy in-game and move on. Aside: It would be nice to add "Names" to the list of bannable things. MegaPenis, Asshat and some others come to mind that should be banned just for using that name - they don't have avatars. Watching 20 games here you'd probably have to ban the top 25 completely for occasional outbursts. |

at 6:08 AM, Wednesday February 25, 2026 EST Louis, Iâm not sure what kind of world you live in where it is acceptable anywhere to view using anti-gay slurs as equal to regular insults, but in mine, it is not. That rule is there for a reason because some words are not acceptable in most societies, and would result in repercussions in certain social situations.
I again feel you are trying to mitigate insults said because some of what you have said on here in the past is far worse (please refer to comments you have said to Colonia). You try to say it was angry outbursts, but what you have said is far worse than âclown, bitch, fuck you.â I hope you go educate yourself, and God have mercy on your pathetic soul. |

at 6:17 PM, Wednesday February 25, 2026 EST The LGBT conversation specifically is a controversial topic in western society at the moment. It is understandable that people identifying in these ways can feel attacked as they believe it is specific to their identity.
That said, this is not the place to start arbitrarily enforcing bans on people because of this specific topic or any other. Anything that can be subjectively interpreted as "hate speech" would then have to be included on an equal level so as not to exclude other peoples feelings or opinions about what is subjectively important to them. I am sorry that it feels so personal for you Gauntlet but I hope you can move past this. |

at 7:56 PM, Wednesday February 25, 2026 EST So to be clear, in your opinion, Ryan should take the hate speech rule down? Players can run around and say whatever slur they want, regardless that in most cultures these slurs are considered hate speech? Or are there some words you could absolutely consider hate speech and ban worthy? Iâm trying to get a feel if there is any line you would cross or not cross.

at 10:10 PM, Wednesday February 25, 2026 EST Well, to address this specific issue, it would be my opinion that if it wasn't able to be sorted out by you and the other parties involved, and someone made a complaint, then the guilty parties should be addressed and told to lay off the hate speech, inclusive of all individuals that contributed, or there'd be further action to be taken.

at 1:54 AM, Thursday February 26, 2026 EST I had a very positive conversation with Gauntlet in the chatbox. If I recall that correctly and I may be corrected of course, an instant ban for something that can be regarded hate-speech on first occurrence is not desirable. However, if there is a scheme and a repeated abuse - I named avigdor as an example regarding homosexuals, I could have named Generalstab for Nazi-slurs - that is to be banned.
I would like to add, as it also became obvious to me, that we must not forget that many or maybe most of the people here are not native speakers. Perception of words are very different as sometimes the cultural background is different and history of words is unknown. I might take "nigger" as an example - simply translating it does not carry the implications in American history, as I have learned over discussions here. This is probably true for many words. That said, a warning to people using hate-language would be great, bans of possibly increasing duration should be the next step. I hope this is something, we can agree upon. The conclusion is, that we do need more mods to enforce this. |
