Here I present some statistics based on the games played in april. If you have some idea of other interesting stat that could be done, just let me know in comments...



Methodology :
I considered all the replays of the april games and studied them to obtain some info on the games played the last month. I had access only to the winner and the participants of the game, the profit or the winner and the day and the hour of the game.

I made the study under the software R (you can download it for free here : https://cran.r-project.org/). If you want the code, ask for it, I can share :)

N.B. : I had some issues with 130 games that I didn't take into consideration in the following.


The results :

Total number of games played : 16 570
Number of 7 players games : 1366 (8,25%)
Number of 6 players games : 1036 (6,25%)
Number of 5 players games : 1962 (11,84%)
Number of 4 players games : 1971 (11,89%)
Number of 3 players games : 3331 (20,10%)
Number of 2 players games : 6904 (41,67%)

Conclusion 1 : A lot of 2 players games...

Number of players (who played at least once) : 1049
Mean number of games for a player : 54
(=(7x1366 + 6x1366 + ...)/1049)
Repartition of the number of games (including tourneys) for the players :

Min. : 1
1st Quarter : 2 (25% of the players played less than 2 games !)
Median : 8 (half of players played less than 8 games)
3rd Quarter : 43 (75% played less than 43 games)
Max. : 992 (congrats convolution)

Conclusion 2 : Most of the players play few games, a minority is addicted. Here are the number of games of the 50 most addicted players :

Conclusion 3 : unsurprisingly, the "low tables" are more crowded...


Conclusion 4 : The mean of the profit of the winner by game increases all month long starting at 146 points by game for the winner the first day untill 741 points by game the last day.


Conclusion 5 : The frequency remains constant (around 550 games a day) all month long.
