I'm planning on removing the flash version of the map soon. It's causing too many issues with flash becoming obsolete. Fortunately all the same things can be done with cavas which is part of HTML5. It's native to all modern browsers. The canvas version should load faster and run smoother. Although, since it is a new implementation there could be bugs. I would love any help I could get testing this before it goes live for every. You can access it by adding canvas=1 to the url like this:
http://kdice.com?canvas=1 Thanks. And please post here with any comments or issues. |

at 1:31 PM, Monday December 28, 2015 EST I'll start using it and make sure DCT works with it (currently it doesn't).
By the way, I noticed that the KDice google analytics integration doesn't work when viewing the site using HTTPS. You should just need to change the requirement of 'http://www.google-analytics.com/ga.js'; to the HTTPS version. |

at 11:33 AM, Wednesday December 30, 2015 EST clicking on lands does not work the same for me on the html maps as it does on the flash map. On the html map, when I do a mouse click on a territory to initiate an attack, it does not stay "selected" to actually do the attack. Instead I have to hold the mouse button down and then drag the pointer to the land that I want to attack. Is this the expected behavior?

at 12:44 PM, Wednesday December 30, 2015 EST You can do either. A drag or two clicks, one per area. I suspect that when you click you're moving the mouse a bit so it thinks your dragging. Maybe this is too sensitive.
I've also reduced the battle popup size, sped up the animation, and fixed the cutoff at the bottom based on feedback so far. |

at 10:05 PM, Friday January 1, 2016 EST Hey Ryan; on the topic of that 'timing' of the click+drag. I think I just experienced what JamesEnsor had happen.
I've used the html5 board for a few times with everything working normal. I can click on my territory and then click on the enemy territory in order to attack. This process was easy and typical to historic kdice user experience. However today a few moments ago, I experienced a 'state' where any friendly territory i clicked on instantly unclicked. This forced me to use the drag method you described above. This was definitely a different experience then my earlier experiences with the html5 board. It didn't appear to have anything to do with 'timing' or dragging slightly. It appeared to be some state where once you are in it; it continues to un-select your clicks. Unfortunately I didn't think of looking at console or doing a network log; so i don't know if javascript errors or http failures are a contributing cause. Anyway; hope this helps debug. |
