Hey guys,
at first i want to excuse for my bad english. I have been playing kdice for several years and started playing again this june. I've recognized that many rolls, that were safe things years ago, are now lost quite often(e.g. 4vs3, 3vs2). At the same time you win even rolls like 4vs4 or 3vs3 significantly more often. If i compare my actual rolls to the kdice chart on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KDice, it seems like something is wrong. Maybe the game got patched or smth like that? Suvetar. |

--- Let me answer that. Most of the times your bad luck rolls will not make you win a game. While winning rolls will make you win a game. Losing means not playing the full game. While winning means you played 100% of the rounds. The longer the game lasts, the more your 'luck' rate will progress to 50. It's pretty much impossible to get an insanely high percentage 'luck' rate when you've gotten first place. |

at 5:19 AM, Wednesday July 29, 2015 EDT First of all I've had games above 52% where I've won. I've also had games with statistically good luck that I lost - winning a couple of unlikely rolls and then losing the lethal ones will make that.
Besides what chain said - you don't last long enough with shit luck at the start to get a statistically balanced result - "luck" does not (and cannot) cover the impact of a loss or win. While losing 75% 8v8 when you just go for the kill having all flags does not impact the outcome at all, losing those 75% on 4v3 in turn 1 is a different story. This is not included in the stats. Furthermore - I'm not sure but I doubt the average is 50. With draws going to the defender the average is a little below 50 iirc. You can discuss if the current metric is right at all. A more simple one would consider any dice scoring above 3.5 points a lucky dice while any roll below is unlucky. But then this wouldn't account for winning or losing the "fight". |
