How did you choose your usernames?

I named myself after one of the major protagonists from William Langland's 14th century medieval dream vision poem. I joined when I was studying it, and there was a certain metaphorical significance that it gradually attained; plowing lands off other players, and all that. It was also hilarious to me to be called 'Piers' as if that was my own name, not a distant namesake conceived by a Middle English poet about 650 years before I signed up.
Where did your names come from - how have they functioned in relation to your 'persona' on here (good cop/bad cop) - do you use these usernames on other spaces of the internet? |

at 5:05 AM, Tuesday April 7, 2015 EDT When i started using irc in the 90s, i needed a new screenname, as the old ones i was using were either played out, or weren't unique enough to let me use them every time i was logged in. Shockingly enough other minds than mine thought up the nicks Blade and Apekatt (monkey in norwegian).
So, like any creative person, i just banged the keyboard randomly a few times. After a few "fj nggrlf,b" names suddenly "apignarb" popped up, and it seemed like a good name as any. Fast forward 10 years, i'm working in a bank and bored out of my mind. I sign up for kdice one day, and for some weird reason i'm still around. Originally i pictured apignarb as an apelike creature only capable of uttering the word "GNARB!", but on kdice i quickly became a pig, since that's the only characters in the name that look like a word previously known to man. |

at 3:50 PM, Monday April 13, 2015 EDT I started playing this game in '08 as Toolfan1606. I created this current account as an alt because I wanted to be able to play games (0 tables back then) and stab people in secrecy.
Kdiceplaya! sounded like a name a stabby player would choose as it's way over the top. Turned out I didn't like stabbing even in secrecy, so I just kept playing this account since it was auto logged in already. |

I remember I like this band cuz with my friends we were inhale a lot of K2R detergent to fucked up our brains and we were watching this videoclip again and again. It brings us a lot of hallucinations, visually and in our ears.
By hazard it appears that people on kdice thought I choose this name cause of "Stack", not at all. After that, many players mades some funny jokes abt this name like "Suckapoo". I used this nickname for the first time on different forums aswell. |
