If KDice were to change in one way in June. What should that be?

at 8:56 AM, Sunday June 1, 2014 EDT From Jurgen:
*higher kill bonus for 2k and 5k *4 stack games were fun but I'd limit them to 0 tables *no chat tables *no flag tables (option to flag removed) *no flag and no truce tables (can't really enforce that manu military but why not mention it at top of some tables and hope most people respect it) *fog of war tables *trainer table (a specific 0 table where newbies could play and ask for help, hopefully some more experience players would go there now and then to help coach/teach the fresh blood) *custom maps (map editor, invite only tables, option to customise #players, #starting dice, payout structure, PS: custom maps limited to 500 points or even no points involved) *1v1 tournaments *tournaments where you can buy in again if you are kicked out in the first 4 rounds *game replays *1v1 games but as a seperate competition *team games but as a seperate competition *achievement badges for say 10 8v8 wins in a row, 46+ rolls, 12 medals in a row, etc *ties go to the attacker instead of defender *a poll page where the best 5-10 bigger and smaller improvements could be listed and people could vote for them |

I'll start off by voting for the scaled kill bonus (200/kill for 2k tables, 500/kill for 5k tables) my backup ideas are in the first post of course :) I suggest everyone to pick one priority but feel free to post additional ideas also, spread the word that there is a poll guys, not everyone uses the forum frequently |

at 9:56 AM, Sunday June 1, 2014 EDT since the general interest in this site seems to have dropped dramatically, I would propose you make a dramatic rescue effort, lest I predict in half a year another 30 - 50% of the users might have left.
Whatever change you choose should make the game more competitive and attractive again, without losing it's simplicity which I consider the beauty and strength of it, several of the suggested implementations appear to oppose that. Counterbalance the membership dominance either by reducing the obtained easy points drastically, e.g. open membership tourneys to all ( membership might then be rewarded by half buy - in ) or split the competition and also reward non-member and/or non-tourney players for their achievements with a championship award |

at 10:16 AM, Sunday June 1, 2014 EDT achievement badges
-would not show when you sit down just in your profile --unless you got them all or a group of them (like every badge in 2014) --badges should be added weekly.monthly or at the very least yearly. Suggestion for Badges: Easy Badges: -win a game -get a kill -add a friend . . ect Medium Badges: win at game on every level map get 6 kills Hard: have highest ppg for the month (most have over 50 games to count) have highest kills for month get under 5% luck in a game Impossible: -get 300k points in one month |

at 10:24 AM, Sunday June 1, 2014 EDT 1) more tournies with different buy-ins and lower max. scores, or at at least better start times (right now I can only play the 100 Daily, the other ones take place while I'm at work or sleep and I think other players have this problem too)
2) tables with 250, 1000 and 10000 buy-in to give more variety 3) higher kill bonuses on higher tables like jurgen mentioned 4) badges for most games/month, most kills/game, highest ppg in the month etc. and new players should be able to write reviews or post in the forum, it doesn't seem to work currently |

at 12:11 PM, Sunday June 1, 2014 EDT Hi Ryan,
thanks for lending an ear to the community. *higher kill bonus for 2k and 5k. further, if a player flags out, their kill bonus gets divided among the remaining players. *lower maximum score limits at 100s and 500s ->more people at 2k *scoring system overhaul: games should be zero sum, points shouldn't just vanish. *fix the "find seat" option. if no table is open at the desired level, it should automatically open one. *always have one table of every level open at any time *"auto end turn" functionality, special sound and warning when own territory is attacked (yes I know about the deadcode tools pugin) sure, why not ideas: *1v1 games and tourneys *fog of war tables *fix Google Chrome lag issues when browsing in other tabs. Audio cues are delayed, leading to missed turns. |

(from Jurgen) 1v1 tournaments sth like: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swiss-system_tournament |

at 12:19 PM, Sunday June 1, 2014 EDT Holy crap, a swiss system 1v1 heads up tournament would be sweet. Difficult to code, but worth the effort.
I also wanted to add: Membership tourneys are way too easily farmed, it's basically free points. 7 of the top 10 in May were members, mostly because of the tourneys. It's not really fair. |
